"Hold the line and keep the pressure! See, those mercenaries are already infighting! That's why our GLORIOUS EMPIRE has picked you rather, true warriors, and not some half-trained vagabonds."

MayBe the Sorted points at enemy archer row then nods to honored Taskmaster Mu, holds his greataxe more tightly and rushes at the biggest target.
He attacks Bert the Brainless before Bert can figure which end of his pole is the pointy one.

The first, an oppressive, brutal autocracy. The other, fundamentalistic, hedonistic community of nobles and traders.
((I did not sign up knowing the latter was like this! Noooo!))

A monk named Ham readies his crossbow.
Noticing an errant bolt fly right beside her, Adira was quite happy at the priorities of those she stood with. They had a competent commander, and a competent stock of followers. This would be good, if people protected those who couldn't do so themselves--it all went down to tactics.

And the enemy was on the offensive: She just had to aim for the softer bits now!

Shoot MayBe, because he doesn't look like he's armored well!

The first blood of the conflict was drawn pretty quickly; just after Taskmaster Mu rallied his soldiers into the offensive, Broderick, one of his enemies, charged against MayBe the Sorted. Few quick strikes later, MayBe the Sorted was still untouched, but then Broderick's Flail smashed against his face, rending nose and knocking out few teeth, causing heavy bleeding.

Alphanti wanted to contribute to the fighting and therefore, incensed by Taskmaster, attacked Brother Ham. Alas, the weak blow with the long sword merely glanced against the crossbowman's thick chainmail, not harming him at all.

In the meanwhile, Adira Salome pulled the string of her fancy bow and launched an arrow at MayBe the Sorted, hoping to kill him. The arrow struck true, but in the shoulder instead of neck; the wound was moderate at best.

With a terrifying roar, Lucius ran towards Broderick, the halberd held high. His enemy dodged out of the way but with fast thrust, the halberd reached its target - striking Broderick in the chest, piercing the masterwork dwarvish mail and dealing massive damage to Broderick's internal organs, not to mention forcing some blood out!

Right afterwards Old General Henderson tried to invoke the old tradition of fighting commanders, so he charged, sword drawn, at Taskmaster Mu. The latter wasn't particularily interested, but had no choice than fight! Unfortunately, he was a bit too slow to sucessfully evade Henderson's attack; fortunately, the sword wasn't able to penetrate the chainmail.

Bert the Brainless then picked an enemy at random and attacked - his target of choice was Alphanti. The latter simply raised his shield and parried all the three strikes, the shield getting some dents and scratches here and there.

Heavily wounded and bleeding, MayBe the Sorted decided to act while he still could. The Eviscerator soon sated its thrist for blood and destruction; and the blade met with the thick helmet, slicing off the metal, the ear, and then it had cut deep into Bert the Brainless' shoulder. How the man was still alive, was a miracle and mystery of the century.

Tallow Knight decided he needed a drink and emptied his flask; just as Brother Ham pointed his crossbow at Lucius. With a loud swishing noise, the bolt flew through the air and struck the proud warrior in the abdomen, causing some bleeding.

Attack the lowest armored alive foe in my sight!

Being at the back was quite dangerous--you were likely to hit any ally just as much as an enemy if both were mere inches from each other.

((Also you can issue a new sheet right in the same post. Just spoiler it and append a 'for the future' note, or something along those lines.))

Nice summary text, Haspen. Though when MayBe the Sorted saw how is attack ended up:

Heavily wounded and bleeding, MayBe the Sorted decided to act while he still could. The Eviscerator soon sated its thrist for blood and destruction; and while the blade met with the thick helmet, it still managed to cut deep into Bert the Brainless' shoulder.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
he thought: Ehm, the guy who sold me that greataxe in weaponshop in Darthomnd seemed quite confident it should be strong enough to cut through any helmet. I wonder why it didn't work. If I survive this battle I may need to talk with this vendor again and ask for a refund of part of gold I spent on it. Or try how strong is his skull, rather...
