Well, I guess we're not stupid and seen some lasguns and whatnot in our life, and the end with a hole in it is proably the damn emmiter. And you turn it on with a button or something. I mean, we may be very damn ignorant when it comes to figuring out how the tech works, but we proably have some remains of a common sense and experience with using weapons, which is - hole points at enemy and don't touch the sharp bits. Turn on with a trigger or a button. Figure out the rest from there.

What do you expect we can do with it? Weld it together? It's not like it's going to work, and if we want to replicate it, all the important mechanical bits will remain. The Machine Spirit might be bitchy, but after all, we're giving it a second live and most importantly, transfering it to this souless thing. While we are totally not qualficated to do that, there is literally nobody else who has any idea how to do things properly when it comes to God-Emperor and Omnissiah.

It's the Machine Spirit. It gets bitchy if you mistake one word out of ten hour chant of repair, so noone really knows what will happen. At worst it will explode or even better, "slip" in our hand and cut us to two pieces.
