Which reminds me, our cap totally bears an Imperial Aquilla or Imperialis device, we can use it if there is nothing better around.

True enough. But down the line we should definitely requisition some aquilas and recite scriptures to our men.

Well, obviously if we ended up so far in the past, it's that the Emperor willed it to fight Chaos and prepare His coming. Or maybe just stop Chaos in the past, you know, a "kill Hitler" thing of Galactic scale.

Although we should try to get better coordinate. We think we're in the past based on the rambling of one heretic pilot. We should get a data-slate and learn more.

I think we should start a chapel, take our role as prophet of the Emperor seriously.

Our chapel will be the battlefield. Our prayer is bolter fire. Our hymns shall be the din of war. We need no material objects to worship when we can worship through deed.

"Papa Nurgle loves you."
We should probably visit an armoury. I suggest gravitating towards a concussion rifle and seeing if it is a disgrace to the Emperor's magnificence.

Becoming a psyker would probably be a bad thing, If the Emperor is not currently sharing their grace with the Imperium then, umm, things could get a little bit brain-explodes-into-an-open-warp-vortexey for us...

Possibly relevant to the previous discussion.
It's art. You don't trust art. Art means that marines are both human-sized and 5 meters tall killing machines with heads smaller than balls. Art means that apparently even lasguns use casings (or even the always funny Praetorian Guard bolt-action flashlights), so, yeah. I could proably find some art where bolt pistols don't leave casings if I could be bothered.

Your worries of committing heresy are calmed as you realize you can use the Aquilla on your cap.  It should work for now, but you will need to get a true symbol in the future.

If we ever get into a situation where we waste so much ammo, there will be surely some kind of weapon lying around that we could claim and use it to purge stuff.

Peek outside and check if there is anyone guarding the room. If so, ask them how do they like guard duty. Need to keep those spirits up!

There are a pair of guards outside your room, but they are silent when you attempt to speak with them.  Good, they are focused upon their duty.

Check the room for heresy, then inquire where the nearest chapel is that we may pray there and thank the God-Emperor for our escape from success at scouting the heretical Hive World.

You spend a large portion of your time checking over the room for anything heretical.  Other than the lack of any holy symbols, you do not find anything of the sort.  You do find out that the desk has a data slate built into it.

Although we should try to get better coordinate. We think we're in the past based on the rambling of one heretic pilot. We should get a data-slate and learn more.

You aren't fully certain what rituals you need to perform to appease the machine spirit, so you act very carfully and do a search of the Emperor who the rumors claimed to have died.  From the image you manage to find, you easily deduce that this is not the God-Emperor.  The emperor that was referred to held a vastly aged appearance, and the God-Emperor always held a form of humanity at its best.  Furthermore, the emperor seen was too short.  You carefully deactivate the device after you are finished.

A time passes where you spend time sending your prayers to the true God-Emperor and transcribing your fully memorized copy of the Lectitio Divinitatus onto a dataslate given to you when you requested paper to write it down.  They were confused when you questioned the rituals to utilize the device, but eventually that was sorted out.  At the point you manage to get sixty-one percent of the holy book written into the data slate, you feel the rumble of the ship exit the warp.  A set of troops comes by, and one of them tells you they are to escort you to the troops you are in charge of.

What do you do?
