(Whereas I am simply in college a year early. I'm in no position to complain about update separation.)

The wind does not change but the tremors continue.

Look around to see if there are any signs of food or water.

Find someplace stable to stand, it looks like a big earthquake might be coming. That or something's hitting the planet hard enough to cause tremors, but we're screwed six ways from sunday if that's the case, so ignore it.

If there are tremors, and we're in the woods, there is probably a fallen tree we can base some temporary shelter from. Like a lean-to.

Getting out of the car you look around. There is a creek off the road not too far away, food wise you are unsure. You saw a lot of wild life but how much of it is still around would be hard to tell as most of the critters went off running in all directions. The ground under your feet is still shaking but stable enough to stand and walk on just strangely vibrating underfoot.

There are several fallen trees and plenty of fallen limbs to make a shelter in the woods near the car.

What will you do now?

Guess the time of day. Give the car a good look around. Check the engine to see if it's in good condition. Take careful look at our forearm thing. Do we know how it works?

If the car has a built in clock or computer, use said computer.

Otherwise, +1.

The forearm device seems to be a way of injecting the solutions in the vials into your system. You don't entirely know how or what it will do but by looking at the device it has a slot to insert a vial but after that you don't know what will happen.

The car seems to be in perfect condition, the display inside the car (radio, A/C control, etc...) says that the time is 14:14.

Looking up from the car seat for a moment you see another city in the distance, it has been only a few minutes since the previous incident at the top of the hill. This city looks to be much closer to you but not quite as large, still a few sizable buildings but not nearly as many.

You notice that the radio is turned off but still the electronics work so the incident a few minutes ago must not have been nuclear or at least not one that emitted an EMP.

What is your next move?

Let's name ourselves  off the car brand. And then let's head out away from the city
