Sit on the pavement and discard our Tennis Shoes. Then put on our Combat Boots. After that put on our Ballistic Helmet, never know when an opportunistic individual may ensare in a fire-fight. Then put our bullet proof vest over the T-Shirt. To finish off, let us dawn our mighty Jacket.

Also, let us be somewhat Megalomaniacal and self proclaimed ourselves Lord Kiyohito. If mankind is to come about back onto its feet, then some Survivors must become brave and justicarineering Warlords. Who knows the degeneracees we must shield and lead any Civilians from.

After this we should meticulously, but vigilantly place each vial on the pavement and figure out which one we shall endow ourselves with. With this power, we can forge a mighty Empire from the ashes of Post-America.

((Okay let me just give you guys a little bit of prior knowledge that the player would have. 1- You are in what is known today as Russia. 2- Kiyohito is the arms manufacturer for one of your nationīs worst enemies.))

You replace your shoes with the combat boots and put on the helmet and vest. You put the jacket on over it and add a couple magazines to itīs pockets.

Next you retrieve the vials from your bag and lay them out on the pavement.

Vial 1: Fornula ZX9, Electron Manipulation Serum
Vial 2: Formula R6K, Thermal Manipulation Serum
Vial 3: Formula DW3, Particle Manipulation Serum
Vial 4: Formula A7X, Light Wave Manipulation Serum

You ponder which one you will put into your body, wondering if youīre body is even ready to receive the serum, did the surgery go to completion or is there more to do, are there other serums out there, will you only be able to use one, what will it do to your body, etc etc.

What do you do now?

See if we can mark ourselves in some way to denote not being affiliated with the people whose gear we're using.

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

[AFAIK, different nations usually have some differences in their battle dress, regardless of actual markings, and we're using one of their guns. I'd prefer to be careful.]

We should read those files for the serums and see just what they do.

((Alright))

The gun bares a symbol of the Asiatic nation's flag and the helmet has a flag seen into the bottom rim of it.
The symbol on the gun is colored, embossed metal.

How would you like to remove the symbols?

We should read those files for the serums and see just what they do.

Two of the files describe a serum treatment while the third's final page is a recording of a surgery. The other two also have a similar recording (paper record that is).

The other two that do have serum treatment records describe a single vial (only one vial is mentioned in each) being inserted into the slot on the metal device. The vial empties, the veins in the arm change color, the metal device detaches, the subject convulses as the serum spreads through the body, the veins turn back to normal, and the subject goes back to normal.

The file with no serum treatment mentioned is H9K.
The other two also record different effects of the serum after the subject returns to normal.
File A1Z describes the subject having the ability to levitate uncontrollably, there is no description of further tests on this subject.
File V2R describes the subject hearing voices in their head and being able to communicate with other people without talking, one example was a nurse that they had grown close with hearing the subjectīs voice even when they were in a seperate room. The subject, at the same time, had been asked to try asking the nurse a question, the subject seemed confused but closed their eyes, minutes later the nurse entered the room. The subject had asked the nurse to come check on them. There are no further experiments explained or mentioned past this.

What now?

Maybe we could just scratch most of the cor off the insignia on the gun. Then, if possible, wrap a belt and some torn cloth around the insignia to hide it.

We should get moving.

Quickly grab a soldier's knife, since they're useful, then get driving. We can improvise some way of dealing with Asiatic markings when we stop for the night.

Setting the files back into your bag you take a deep sigh.

The feeling that you must leave before night fall keeps biting at the back of your thoughts, so you decide to put your things into the car, the gun on the console and the pistol still holstered, you start the car.

The sound of bars sliding and something turning comes from the engine, then a slight hum and the A/C begins blowing.

You close the door and look out the broken window, so much death....

Letting the parking brake off and switching to drive the car begins to move. The sunīs gleaming light glistening on the blood in the parking lot as you drive off down the back road out into the woods.

After half an hour of driving through dense woods you get to a hilltop, the forest is thinning, you stop at a small commuter parking lot at what looks like a camp site on the hill, the lot is vacant. You look out your window and see a large sky city.

You remember history lessons, when the first skyscrapers were built they were so small, then old nations like Dubai began building larger and larger buildings. Today entire cities of miles high buildings stand overlooking the world around them.

You know the city must still be hours of driving away yet you still see the buildings jutting into the horizon, but something catches your eye.

A flash of light. Bright and large as the city. The earth shakes under your feet. The endgame is initiating.

The animals in the woods rush around in a frantic dance to run from something that is now everywhere.

The trees shake, the ground beneath your feet begins to become uneven. Then as though by Godīs grace it all stops.

A blast of warm air envelopes the woods, you look back for the city but see nothing but a large cloud where the city was just a minute ago.

What do you do?

Check which way the wind's blowing. If it's toward us, get the hell out of dodge. If not, we can probably afford to wait until tomorrow.

[Yay, a topic I'm knowledgeable in! Also rip several million people.]
