The Fall of Man
« on: December 23, 2015, 03:01:02 pm »

The warnings of wise men have never impeded the stupidity of the masses.
Now the long awaited end of the Age of Convienance is here, not enough people thought of leaving this planet, funding cut, and corporations took over.

Humanity, after this point of choosing Earth over exploring other options, became a trapped mass. Buildings grew taller, mines deeper, roads and skies more packed with vehicles, and wars more and more common.

Technology continued to advance and so wars were fought with better and better weapons, but always the new weapons of war were made to match scale, WMDs were made but never used. But now at the end of the Ninth Great War the whole world is on it's knees, entire countries turned to rubble as one nation broke the rules. Now another in retaliation begins it's end game as the few final standing cities become centers of chaos.

Rioting and looting fills the streets as war ends society as we know it.
You are one of the few super soilders not sent to die in the war, because you are not yet finished.
The last you remember was being put under for augmentation surgery.

You have awoken on a stretcher in a dim lit operating room. The emergency siren is blaring loudly.

Scan the room for supplies.

Sitting up on the stretcher you look around. A twinge of pain surfaces on your sides and arms.
The room is void of doctors but they seem to have left behind plenty of supplies in the room. There are countless bottles and syringes in the cabinets and counter top but what strikes you the most obvious are four vials on a tray each with a label on them.

You observe your own body noticing you are covered in new and fresh scars as well as several stitched insertions. The strangest of the new things on your body is a metallic box clinging to your left forearm with a small groove ontop that looks to be the same size as the vials on the tray.

Examine the four vials. Look around the room for messages or instructions. Determine what time it is.

You pick up and read the label on each vial, you notice they all contain a viscous black fluid.

Vial 1: Fornula ZX9, Electron Manipulation Serum
Vial 2: Formula R6K, Thermal Manipulation Serum
Vial 3: Formula DW3, Particle Manipulation Serum
Vial 4: Formula A7X, Light Wave Manipulation Serum

You look around but do not see any messages left behind for you however you do see a set of clothes and a bag left on a table that look like they are for you.
You stand up and feel the scared skin on your legs stretch and wince in pain.

You look around the walls and are able to find a clock that tells the time to be just a few minutes after 4pm.

What do you do?

"The emergency siren is blaring loudly.": That either means we have to leave this place or find shelter within here. Or they're just testing the alarm system.
Wear the clothes, examine the bag, probably take the bag, take the vials, and exit the operating room.

You put on the cloths. They are simple but well made. A white under shirt, under wear, socks, a white t-shirt, blue jeans, leather belt, and black tennis shoes. The bag is a burlap messenger bag that is empty. You put the four vials into a pouch in the bag.

Outside the operating room there is a long corridor with several open doors along the walls but the most obvious thing you see is red arrows on white lines across the walls that read exit behind the flashing arrows.

Walking down the hallway the dim light and loud noise is almost disorienting.
You notice some of the walls have bullet holes and blood smears, you also find shell casings and a couple dead doctors/researchers.

A few minutes later you can hear moans of pain from a room down the hall, between those you can faintly hear the voice whimpering calls for help.

We should attempt to locate the source of the moans and calls.

Walking past several more doors you find an opened room, there are bullets holes along the hall and blood smears in the door way. You enter to find another operating room, the tables and cabinets are broken and thrown about and blood is everywhere.
You notice several dead bodies of researchers and take a minute to figure out which one is whimpering for your help.

Once you turn him over you notice blood dropping from his mouth, he whispers to you,"He escaped".
You can hear his lungs gurgling as he struggles to breath.

He looks at you, he observes your arms and your face,"Ano*caugh caugh* another one like you. One of the test subjects." More blood is pouring from his mouth and his breathing is beginning to slow.
