It would be pretty cool if Rey started/rediscovered an alternate way to look at the Force. It's not like the EU didn't have several schools of thought on the subject.

What I meant was a grey force user, not entirely dark, but not entirely light. the GREY side of the force

There'd be different opinions about that.  At least fifty shades of grey side of the force...  It would require both restraint and consent, with probably some pain along the way...

I'd be cool with that, on all counts.

I'd only like it if she becomes Jolee Bindo, or some kind of Jolee Bindo Samuel L Jackson trains her.

I want to see Rey becoming a jedi who uses the dark side when needed.

That's like saying you want her to become a cop that smokes crack when she needs that extra rush to capture a suspect.

Didn't Luke do that, though?  Or am I extrapolating way too far from remembering exactly one sentence where it said he used Dark Side powers?

Luke was feeling the pull of the dark side through the entirety of ROTJ. You can see it in his costume colours - he goes all black for pretty much the entirety of the movie but at the end after he rejects his anger and stuff he has a white shirt on underneath.

Luke also temporarily went to the dark side in the EU, when Palpatine's clone seized control of remaining Imperial forces and started fucking things (by which I mean the Republic) up.

Just remember

EU gave us Thrawn

REMEMBER THAT

It is our only hope

Well that and the order of force users that used blasters.

They were pretty cool

Back in my day when people sig'd things, they put them in their signature.

It does seem a bit pointless putting things in a sig-text. I don't even look at them...
