Davids legs helplessly clash with Annies, no more able to sweep her off her legs than he would sweep a tree off his roots. Just...just how much does she actually weight? Oh god what will happen if this punch lands now? This ineffective sweeping move left him in a bad position. This block...will this do? Adrenaline rushed to his head - what if it doesn't? This girl doesn't understand, she clearly doesn't. What is the concept of injury to her? She is not using one of the of the enchanted non-lethal weapons. The---the school probably enchanted the ring right? They'd have to, right? Suddenly images came to Davids mind. A cake with a single candle, shaped like a one on it? When did that happen, he doesn't remember, is this his first birthday? There is some animal, was this his first pet?  His first bike, it was so awesome...or was it a gameboy? And this girl he liked, their first kiss, or at least how he imagined it might have been. His life flashing before his eyes, that..thats good news right? It means incoming victory, right?
