"Absolutely wonderful! I am pleased to meet most of you!" Obviously Ray and Lidia are not included in the list of people she is pleased to meet, but Naomi is too polite to say that.
"Now then, let us be off on our tour! We have so many places to visit and things to talk about!" The first stop is right at hand, as Naomi turns around and waves her fan to encompass the building that everyone just came out of.
"This is the Modern Wing, though I'm not sure why they still call it that. The Unterbrink Wing is far less ancient. Anyways, the Modern Wing was completed in 1892 and hosts the academy's auditorium, as you are no doubt aware! It also has several classrooms and studios for classes to be held in. If you are interested in drama or the arts like me, I'm sure that you'll be spending plenty of time here."Naomi leads everyone down the pathway to the next part of the academy, made out of worn brick, carved stone and completely covered in ivy. If everyone was much more mature they'd probably appreciate its picturesque beauty.
"This is the Grayson Wing of the academy and the oldest part of Red Moons. They say that on a dark and moonless night, you can meet Grayson's spirit walking around its halls and bemoaning his fate! Isn't that just wonderful? Anyways, most of your classes will be held here since the rooms are old and musty. That's just what you get for being first years I'm afraid" She leads everyone inside and through the halls of the building, pointing out the rooms where their classes will be held for future reference. In the back of the building is the academy's gym, looking extremely new and high-tech compared to everything else you've seen.
"You're in luck! They finished the renovations on the gym just a year ago, so you get to enjoy it the entire time that you're here. I am almost jealous of you! If it's cold and raining outside, though maybe not even then, you'll be having your PE classes here. You can also come here in your free time to make use of the equipment, so long as a class isn't being held. The schedule is posted everywhere, so you only have yourself to blame if you forget."Everyone follows the anime kitsune out and to the school's... arena. Admittedly it has the lines, equipment and an electronic scoreboard set up for playing football in the center, but it looks like it was modelled after the Roman Coliseum and thus it's hard to shake the connection out of your head. Judging by the bricks it is made out of, it's just as old as the Grayson Wing.
"This is the Grayson Stadium, but everyone just calls it the Arena instead," Naomi comments, sealing the connection within everyone's minds.
"The school's football team, the Thunderbirds, plays in here for their home games. Don't worry, we enjoy having other bloodsports here too! If the weather is nice and sunny then generally you'll have PE out here. As such I would prepare to do a lot of running tomorrow! Zwei really likes to push her students! I am so happy that I no longer have to take PE."Naomi leads everyone back to the main buildings and past an ominous brick building that she dismisses as just 'the boiler room and gardening shack'. This time her destination is the third and final part of the central building, one that looks relatively modern. It is made out of concrete and steel, both stained with age and dirt.
"The Unterbrink Wing is one of the newest parts of the Academy, but only compared to everything else. It was only completed in 1962 after all, so everything except for the computer lab is out of date. All of your science classes will be held here, so you'll have to just get used to the disgusting colours that the rooms and halls are painted. Personally I spent a good part of my second year in here and am not eager to go back in!"Finally the orientation ends when Naomi leads everyone to the dorms. They are rather squat and ugly, as all dormitories should look like. On the front lawn, a tent has been set up with everyone's bags and boxes underneath them. Obviously you're supposed to pick them up and carry them up to your rooms yourself.
"And these here are the dormitories! First Years are in the Red Block this time. Now normally they separate the genders so that each has their own building, but this year we have so little fresh meat that they've decided to combine the two under one roof. Women on even-numbered floors and men on odd-numbered floors. Except for the seventh. On the first floor you'll find the cafeteria, laundry room, rec center and other public spaces. Every floor has its own lounge too, if you want a little more privacy with all of your friends. Now then, before we end things, I better go over the rules for the dorms. You'll find a copy in your rooms too, so don't worry if you forget." "Drinking, smoking and doing recreational drugs is strictly prohibited. Even if you are old enough, you'll not be allowed to drink on the grounds. Red Moons is a dry campus, unfortunately. Men aren't allowed on the women-only floors and vise-versa, so if you want to meet up with someone you better be sneaky! Or go up to the seventh floor, since it isn't divided by gender. Lights go off at 9pm sharp, but you can still stay up so long as you're quiet and don't disturb everyone. Every floor has a don, usually an older student, who sleeps in their own special room and keeps an eye on everyone. So if any of you happen to have a room on the second floor, we'll get to know each other even better! Isn't that exciting? Now then, any questions?"
