Cecelia was certainly not an old hire, indeed this was actually her first year working at Red Moons and perhaps fittingly, she had neither the grace nor style of those who could still remember the glory days. Dressed in ill-fitting clothes of quality that does little to belie the equally dismal price for which they were purchased, there was not a trace of the eccentricity proudly displayed by her colleagues. So it is to no one's surprised that it is, though never explicitly stated, an expectation of sorts that she'd be replaced with someone more suitable once (though she personally felt it more a case of if) the academy regains its prestige.
If the rather dismal job security was much of a concern, her thoughts certainly didn't show it. Not that she would let her thoughts show much had she the choice, after all, there was a certain someone who could read them after all. Considering that it may well be a necessity judging by some of the students, and the fact that it was rather doubtful she'd be fired for thought-crimes, it was perfectly reasonable for such a thing to be employed. Reasonable and comfortable are not the same however, and the idea of working under the watchful gaze of a panopticon is never a cheery one.
Still, that wasn't on her mind either. Rather, it was the altercation in the cafeteria earlier, that which involved the custodian with surprising authority (her present bet is he might also be a teacher and is just filling a secondary role with his abilities), the aforementioned mind reader (come to think of it, is Mira her first name or her last name?) and the world's buffest Ken-doll (seriously, why isn't he wearing any pants?).
It certainly wouldn't be the last she'll hear of it, that's for sure. Probably going to be an angry phone call sometime between today and tomorrow. Still, besides the expected matter of students lacking any timetables, something that wouldn't have been a problem if they just emailed a copy instead of relying on the postal service, it's shaping up to be an unsurprisingly quiet day. The infirmary isn't too far away from her desk, so she probably quickly check up on the student and hopefully smooth the whole affair over. Like that'll ever happen. Plus, staying anywhere near the nurse seems to be quite a horrible idea judging by what Cecelia could only hope to be a magical aura surrounding her.
