"Fair enough, though it could definitely help you used to talking to people. And listening to people say a lot without making any intelligible point at all.

Anyway, haven't either of you done an assignment where you've needed to do a speech or presentation? It'll be just like that except with better topics and a more comfortable atmosphere. Well, public speaking that is. Debating's more about taking out your fear and frustration on the other team."

"Why? There are better ways. Just look towards the center of the crowd, not at anyone in particular or anything, and focus there, it helps make you look more confident. Or just grab onto a paper clip or a key in one hand so it sort of stabs you, not enough to bleed or anything of course, just enough to take your mind off of it. Or you know, just let your adrenaline kick in and go with the flow. Though you might not be able to remember what you said afterwards."
