Meanwhile, Lovejoy would be mostly confused by what her probe saw during the brief scrimming. Appearantly there is not much of a mind at all in there. Enough coherent memories and personality to give the illusion of functionality, all together held in place by a construct of orders and instructions, on how to act at any given time. It might need further probing to figure out the actual situation, but that might be difficult. Poking at something so fragile too much.
