Annie musters Davids physique, pokes a bit at his belly, then puts on her best thinking-face. She then pulls a small whistle from her pocket and hands it to David, along with a bottle.

"When bad men come, you blow in this and hide. Then I come to help you. Also drink this."

Dave nods to Annie and sniffs the bottle. He's going to drink it anyways, since he has a stomach that could drink irradiated water be no worse for wear, but it's good to get a feel for the flavor. When he drinks it he looks surprised but shrugs and finishes.
