Felicia is paying a modicum of attention, but has her feet up on the desk.

Esi chops them off
"There is a 58% chance that is an uncomfortable position to maintain."

((School desks are not the kind of desk you want your feet up on, unless these aren't the attached-chair kind.))

Esi continues to have said that, out loud.

Felicia doesn't notice, busty with yawning.

Ray continues existing.

Finally English begins promptly at 8:30, as the teacher steps up to the chalkboard and introduces himself.

"Greetings everyone, I am Brother Mile, and I will be your English teacher for this year. Now, I will book no troublemakers, layabouts or those who think that they can simply coast through my class without putting in any effort. A passing grade is something that you have to earn in my class, not achieve by showing up for every test."

Brother Mile is the kind of man who wouldn't use two words when seven would do. As such the minutes drag on and on as he talks about his expectations for the class in excruciatingly boring detail. The basics of the course are rather simple and obvious. Most of it involves reading a selection of books, poetry and the like, and then interpreting it in the way that the teacher wants you to to achieve good marks. It's all mind-numbing stuff, which is why everyone is grateful when the bell rings at 9:50 to signal that class is over.

"Don't leave just yet. The bell doesn't dismiss you, I dismiss you!" Brother Mile shouts over the sounds of everyone packing away their stuff and leaving the classroom. Needless to say, everyone ignores him, leaving the teacher to retreat behind his desk and take a defeated swig from a suspiciously shaped bottle hidden in its drawers.


PE is at 10:00, so you all have only ten minutes to change and head to the Arena. Better make the most of the scant time you have available.

"There is a 74% chance that is alcohol, and therefore that you should not be drinking it." says Esi, immediately before leaving.
