So... why do people worship Prankator? Like, it seems like no one has any real reason to and what the fuck will he do if people stop worshiping him?
Because he has manipulated things so that he's the focus of all religions. Every single last one of them. So you don't really have a choice here. Join a new religion? Surprise, it's worshipping the Pantokrator. Start your own? Suddenly you get smited or the FBI locks you up for domestic terrorism. You just can't win.
Which also brings up the question of how the inquisition keeps itself running in the face of actual armies and government agencies that would very much be more that a little pissed off about them.
Because the Inquisition has been around since forever, knows the most about the supernatural, and has its fingers everywhere. That's starting to slip of course, but it's hard to go against them when most of your generals, clergy and politians belong to them. They're pretty much the Illiminatii but only concerned with suppressing the supernatural. Manipulating the world's banks and governments on top of that is too much for them.
Yeah, but it seems like that would result in a paradox or reality would bitch slap him somehow. Reality is good at that.
It's already rewritten reality several times. The universe is pretty much the Pantokrator's bitch now.
Well it's made itself the focus of apparently every religion, thereby guaranteeing further worship assuming there's no rampant atheism or something, and there aren't any signs of backlash from that event, other than boredom.
Don't forget about the rampant paranoia and general douchery. Which is why the Pantokrator vanishing would be such a terrible event, since he's magnitudes stronger than the second-most powerful being alive.
...
Which is probably Kina now that I think about it. Good job, Elf. I hope that she's prepared to have all these devils and angels seduce her to their side.
