Plus she lacks particularly strong ties to the other PCs. I mean, even Felicia, an antisocial grump who looks like she has half the contents of an S&M dungeon duct-taped to her, and Kendall who spends the majority of the time interacting with NPCs away from everyone else have stronger ties to the other PCs.

Basically, me during these kinds of school RPs:
1. Have cool character idea
2. Get bored of it
3. Get better idea that everyone tends to like (i.e. Yuri)

Well yeah, not much to do most of the time once shipping done because apparently relationship problems and breakups don't existing because apparently all of life's problems come from being single in these games. Hence why I'm trying to dig a hole of clubs with actual objectives and tabletop gaming for everyone to fall into, just so that there's something to continue stimulating activity even after the shipping's expended.

It wouldn't be as much as a problem if these places didn't always have bullshit protection and actually let students leave. Or even if they had missions to go on. Lets be honest, Twilight Academy was shit, but it survived as long as it did in part because drama besides emotional stuff could happen.

For example, the fight with the dragon bully and Dave would have been more interesting if there was actual danger instead of SB's wet dream showing up out of nowhere.

I'm not even sure why the premise remains as a bloody highschool of all possibilities. Rather rather than just having some sort of sitcom-esque setup that forces all the characters to know at least one other PC from the start and have much more interesting matters going on in their lives than just studies and hormones. Though knowing Elf and Twin, it'll probably end up sort of like Fraiser. If Fraiser and Niles could summon Persona.
In fairness, missions don't make much sense for the setting, and that fight couldn't have happened even if Algasis didn't show up, since Aine, a PC without combat stats basically initiated combat.

letting students with powers ranging from being a sword to copying literally anyone else's ability to being a dragon with temper issues is very, very far from a good idea. ditto to having no preventative measures in case something happens.

Eh. It's probably because there's justifiable reasons in setting for such protection. As for the highschool setting, it's just what we're familiar with.

Nah, just don't let them participate. If they don't have stats, they don't get to fight. It's that simple.

missions implies some sort of organization the school's secretly apart of. you're onto something, but the wording is off.
