Name: Yuri Kalishnikov
Sex/Gender: Male
Age: 16-17 in appearance, 90 mentally, though the concept he is based on is much older
Appearance: A massive, burly russian who could probably pass himself off as being 30 years old due to his massive size and hardened look. He has short brown-blonde hair with a body as tough as soviet rifle. He wears a wool beanie and has a prominent 5 o'clock shadow regardless of time or shaving rate. His clothing for the rest of his body is a long grey woolen trench-coat along with 1940's military style white coveralls. On a shoulder strap is a Kalashnikov rifle.
Backstory: Born in the USSR in 1925, he joined the Russian military in 1942. Like so many others, he lied about his age to enlist, joining the 62nd Army. He saw combat during the Battle of Stalingrad, fighting to protect his home city from the Nazi invaders. Wounded by a stray bullet, his burning patriotism awoke his true nature as the embodiment of love itself, unlocking with it the power to disperse and reform from pure love. He was there in the ruins of the city, bursting forth behind squad after squad of soon to be deceased foes. He was there in the skies, choking pilots in their own cockpits. And he was there, haunting their broken remnants as they were taken in as prisoners.
Through the experiences of war, and the power he developed, he gained considerable skills as a wingman, and whenever there is some lonely guy pining after a girl, if their love is strong enough, then Yuri will climatically explode into existence and win the girl for them. Or if there was vodka to be had. Okay, admittedly, it was usually motivated by the vodka. As his friends and comrades continued their lives after end of the war, he was with them. He saw the youthful young men age, experiencing their triumphs and heartbreaks. Their changing fortunes and their growing families, as they became old men. He saw his country develop in an age of mutual fear, and eventually crumble beneath its weight. The world changed. The hopes and dream of the past faded to naught, as the steady march of science and technology yielded unexpected harvests.
And it is now, in an age that so different to that of his nostalgic reveries, yet so familiar, that he remembered an old promise, more than half a century old. As he crossed the threshold of his house, his parent made him promise, that when the explosions roared no more and the guns fell silent, that he'd complete his education. Even if he didn't see them again, even if the Axis forces prevailed, the world goes on. Life goes on. And so, he applied to the academy, looking no older than he did when that fateful day 73 years ago.
Supernatural Abilities: Embodiment of Love - as what amounts to a sentient concept, Yuri cannot truly die. He can also teleport with varying degrees of explosive power by dispersing and reforming himself out of sufficiently strong feelings of love. Not necessarily romantic love either. His capabilities are enhanced by being close to strong feelings of love as well. He can also manifest effects related to the power of love, though to a greater degree. After all, he IS love.
Being Russian - Apparently, his strong sense of national identity has allowed Yuri to focus his powers further. This allows him to create fully functional AK-47s out of pure love. These function identically to their mundane AK-47s, because they do not require further modification. He can also create temporary constructs in the form of his comrades, looking like they did back when they were fighting in Stalingrad. Except wielding AK-47s. Also, his coat can extend to partially form a bear to attack, or grab more vodka.
Noire - Using certain traits he developed, styled after that of a hard-boiled detective, he can channel his powers for various effects. He can create a modified AK-47 out of pure love that has the form of a pistol. It functions identically to a mundane AK-47 in a normal configuration, because they do not require further modification. He can also cause localized rain in the form of flowers, sparkles and bubbles to accompany his monologue. Yes, even indoors.
Combat Experience: He's fought in one of the bloodiest, most brutal battles of the Second World War and has the skills you'd expect from it.
