Because as much as I'd like to play as a magical girl's familiar whose physical form consists of a bunch of cryptic, less-than helpful messages for this game as a staff member, I'm far too busy working on a setting where the familiars of magical girls can take physical forms that consist of a bunch of cryptic, less-than helpful messages.

Okay, firstly, I take it that I can't just swap out Overwhelming Offense for something that just gives him even more dice like a renamed Fusion Reactor right? Nor can I give him something that adds 2 dice that can only be used for Basic Defense, right? And I'd also presume that he can't just take Aggressive a second time, lest someone create a character who just takes it six times and begins the fight by immediately smacking people with an all-or-nothing 18d6, right?

What are more common? Buffs that grant bonuses? Or buffs that add dice?

You can swap out Overwelming Offense for something that gives him more dice, actually. SERAS gets extra Attack and Defence Dice from their Skills after all. However I'm going to say that you can't have duplicate Skills, in order to prevent the 18d6 example that you have thoughtfully provided. But you can stack as many offensive and defensive bonuses as you want, so long as they work in different ways. One could give bonus dice, another gives a bonus to rolls, and so on and so on.

Also I can't really answer your question about buffs right now. Not too many people have submitted stats yet, and I haven't punched out more characters or mooks to fight. I'm going to say that buffs that grant bonuses are slightly more common now, with the cravet that that might change in the future. Sorry about that.

I see. Except you left out the parts where you tell me what its effects are and how it works, so I don't know what it is trying to accomplish nor how you will accomplish it. Such a shame.
