I'd imagine you'd still be allowed to roleplay them you would just roleplay them less then your student.

How so? You just said that they pick people up and put them in detention every single time. I mean, I'm not saying they're meant to say the exact same thing every time, just that punishment should be consistent and that they only be used to resolve situations and carry out the penalties.

The general idea of my suggestion is so that firstly, you won't actually have to teach anything, because that would force inactivity if the player is offline, not to mention that their lessons may end up horribly inaccurate, especially if it's about stuff dependent on the setting, like magic. And secondly, if the player is offline, someone can still use that staff member to stop people from doing things, since their response is clearly defined.

Why would we need fully fledged characters to do that though? Why not just fill the place with enchantments that zap people and shout at them? Or just have staff members that have no personality and who only exist to stop people and shout at them? After all, you could pretty much just have a single Giant Dad who interrupts people via lagstab and then proceeds to stunlock them while shouting "git gud" and the problem would be solved.

Well, my criteria for the teachers is much more stricter than the students. Which is to say that they have to be able to do their duties as a teacher and not abuse their status/powers enough to piss everyone off. So they don't need to be fully-fledged characters per-say, but it helps. Plus, let's be honest here, the standards for PC students are pretty damn low. Pretty much any set of criteria for teachers is going to be more strict than students.

Looks good to me. It'll be nice to have someone to clean up unslightly messes. Just not the ones that are students, obviously.

Same as the student sheet, except Classes how describes which ones they teach. Or whatever they do in the school, I guess. As for their stats... We'll burn that bridge when we get to it. If worse comes to worse, we can always put down 'Ganks 1d6 students per turn' and call it a day.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. They're purely for RP purposes and yelling at students when they do really stupid and public stuff. Assuming that I'm not around to do so, of course.

Well, I'm assuming that some people might want to customize a teacher and do some RP from the other end of the scale too. If we need some generic teachers with preset reactions/whatever that anybody can use to punish wrongdoers, then I can quickly cook some ideas up.

Name: Aglasis the Mighty, Omnipotent Master of the School _{but only he calls himself that}

Appearance: This guy. He's rather tall.

Supernatural Abilities: Teleportation. To any point, anywhere, instantly, with no restriction whatsoever. And the uncanny ability to know exactly when and where a fight is breaking out and who perpetrated it, but the latter probably isn't an innate power.
Probably other demon-ey stuff related to murder and all that but obviously he can't use any of that in school.

Tends to appear directly behind you after you punch someone in the face or whatever teens do in fights, gently lift you up, sit you in a detention desk and leave. Very talkative, but nobody really seems to talk to him, ever. Maybe it's the hair? He is married to Malganir, Cafeteria Master, and would go to the ends of the... known universe for his spouse.

He teaches the Detention class, which is to say he sits at the desk and talks endlessly with anyone willing to listen.
