Name: Kina Totaka. In olden times, she once had many names, all invoking her destructive properties and all in awe of her in a desperate attempt to keep her from destroying them, but she doesn't go for it much anymore.
Sex/Gender: Female/Cis
Age: Physically and mentally 15. Her true age is unknown.
Appearance: Kina looks rather unassuming for the teenage embodiment of Destruction itself. She generally prefers to keep her auburn hair out of the way with a headband, and likes wearing leather jackets and jeans. The only sign that this girl is anything apart from a hyperactive, if slightly lazy, teenager is the small bracelet on the side of her arm with spells written in unknown script engraved onto it.
Backstory: In the olden times, there was once a monster that terrorised the world, bringing in its wake swathes of destruction and leaving piles of burned husks and corpses behind as it advanced upon its warpath, looming higher than the highest mountain and its breath hotter than the fiery sun. Many, human or otherwise, prayed against this monster, hoping that the prayers would reach whatever gods there were out there and move them to destroy it, to no avail; even the Pantokrator himself could not destroy it, for how could one destroy that which
is destruction? Many names were given to it, and those names hidden behind euphemisms in the hope that if they gave it a respectful name, it would not appear to put a fiery end to everything in front of it. This monster was that which stood beyond dragons, leviathans and other such creatures, and it was the very concept of Destruction itself given form. It desired nothing more than to put an end to all that was; and so long as a thing existed to be destroyed, this monster could not be killed forever or destroyed.
However, it could be sealed. Eventually, an alliance of men, spirits and the remaining peoples of the world put themselves together to seal the beast away in a protracted struggle. For days this titanic struggle raged, and eventually, with many lives lost, the beast was sealed into a human form. Despite its seemingly more fragile form, however, the beast proved difficult, if not impossible, to destroy still, and their weapons simply wore themselves out. Eventually, the beast was locked away, its memory lost in the process of sealing and beating it, in a cave with one family of powerful mages in charge of sealing it away and keeping it sealed.
Then, around fifteen years ago, the seal broke.
When the people in charge of stewarding this seal panicked and rushed to the area in an attempt to re-seal the Embodiment of Destruction, what they found was rather different; a baby girl, crawling around the crater of the exploded cave, having no idea what was actually going on. Taking pity, the family took her in, watching her carefully for any signs of turning back into the monster that had once rampaged around the world, but, when it surfaced that this girl was, apart from a hyperactive and slacker streak, pretty much normal, a discussion had to be had to let her into society and let her become sympathetic to the world so if it ever came to it, she would choose to protect it, or to seal her and risk turning her against them as most sealed tragic monsters tended to do, they decided to take the risk. They told her exactly what she was, first, however, with a seal ready just in case.
She decided that was too much bother, shrugged, and went back to drumming.
And so is the story of Kina, teenage embodiment of Destruction, member of her old school's Light Music Club, and general failure at any subject that requires a modicum of effort.
Supernatural Abilities: Embodiment of Destruction: Kina is the living personified concept of Destruction. Her true form is a monster, larger than the largest mountain, resembling a mix between
this and
this.
-
Immutability: Kina cannot be destroyed or permanently incapacitated, as her concept is one inherent to the world itself, one that expresses itself even in the process of entropy.
-
Shapeshifting: Kina can, by taking off the bangle, transform into her true form as a beast of unknowable strength and power. Granted, she rarely wants to and she's too busy having fun to want to, but it can happen.
-
Beams: Apart from the obvious invincibility and the strength granted by being a giant monster in human form, she can also fire massive rays of concentrated energy from her mouth while in monster form. The output is similar to that of a small nuke, and so is the aftermath.
-
Regeneration: This ability is one she has even in human form, as Kina seems to regenerate incredibly quickly from wounds dealt to her, even mortal ones.
