I see two possible paths to a good end.

1) Get tons of Determination, then hope a full reset sets you to the start of the adventure and not to when you wrest control of the reset button. Then race to Hedron to alert Sans.

2) Hug the evil out of the villain so they repent and reset.

Convincing Sans to fight alongside a properly determined Undyne, until the villain gives up their genocide, gets an honorable mention as being not a total defeat.
