Interesting... i' ve never seen a tide onster with this shape before. I wonder if it's slow as a normal sloth, saying that he casually swinged his spear, and a beam of searing light  came down from the sky, triyng to scorch the strange creature.

Ivory merely ready herself as Pietro take the first move.

The battle system work like so for normal attacks. D100+Attacker's dex vs D100+1/2 of defender's dex for attack hitting. Roll between 1/2 and 1.5X of attacker's str or mag - Defender's tough or will. min damage of 1 hp.

Techniques and titles may change this.

The beast roar with anger at the beam and rolls forward-

Pietro tries to dodge, but a loose clod of dirt hamper his start, allowing the sloth to slam it's claws right on top on him, aided by the roll's rotation. (-10hp).

Ivory bring her weaponized farming tool around to cut up the face of her foe.

The blade pings off the steel-like fur. Seem like physical attacks are not effective.

(16+10 vs 20) It tricky but Constentine barely manage to gently cradle the rabbit without issue.

Grace searches (?) and finds a locked side door and a garage door that seem to be flimsy with age. And a not to fresh corpse. Most likely not your target.

Ahia! That hurts!  apparently the sloth was definitely faster than his earthly counterpart. Pietro jumped back to gain distance, then stabbed his spear into the ground. Several pillars of light came down from the sky , attempting to  pierce the sloth's hide.

Numerous cuts appear on the beast as it tries to defend itself.

Pietro follow up on Ivory's actions with a kill sat move.

The light rays impale the sloth.

As the beams fade, the beast lumbers forth and swings a paw at Pietro

(Wait, something not right)

The ground shudder as the paw slams the ground next to Pietro, the air stills. The sloth liquefy into blue thick fluid that drains into the grass.

"Good, you are at least competent." the female sound out again.

Party
A few test pokes tell you that while sharp, it's nowhere near anime-levels of sharpness. You still need a little force to cut metal, but it work far better then any mundane blade you have used.

With the tests out the way, Grace sizes up the remaining contacts points (84+10 vs 30) and with a burst of wild pokes with her rapier, cut the door free. the door fall backward, revealing an empty garage. Sure there a few car parts around, but you don't have much use for an axle. The door at the back however...

Constentine stare at the rabbit. The rabbit lick your face, seemly unworried about your sharp teeth.
