I suppose you'd dictate how many stat points existing characters would get, Oz?
I'm open to discussion, but I'd like to see "new character" sheets where possible, along with the number of level ups, and like Pan has done, the missions from which they came. That way I can get a fair idea of how they would translate to the new system. Current active characters will be getting a small perk as well. And, again, remember that I haven't awarded the last level-up for the Lathal mission, nor the additional reward for that victory.
edit: I see that Gak has two level-ups plus five points so far.
hmm. the first mission he was on was a "diplomacy" mission, and was of "medium" risk. and the second level up was the mid-mission level up from a "long" "high risk" mission.
for the first, say 1 stat, 3 substat points, 10 coins. for the second, 2 stats, 6 substat points, 20 coins. You already got those daggers as mission equipment for that high risk one.
you'll be my level-up guinea pig. Oink Oink, motherfucker. Shut up, I know guinea pigs don't oink.
I think the slaves mission is the last group mission I did. I think I did a solo stint where I went to pick up some professor or something, but that was a pretty short one. Then everyone went to go get the heart of lathal but Clunkers didn't want to because he's a crotchety bastard.
Can I put a combination of two schools as my affinity? Or like "clockwork magic (mechanical - elemental:order)"? Also, any chance you could elaborate a bit what elemental: order entails exactly?
And like Xan said, I'll let you decide the amount of points and coins I get from the 5 (6? I honestly can't remember) missions I went to and that charisma bonus. I tried to calculate how many points I spend on levelups in the old system, but since the amount of stats and skills has kinda changed I can't really convert those in a meaningful way anyhow.
Hmm. a good question concerning the affinity. I think two will be fine, but I think that will be the limit for now, but I prefer the "clockwork magic (mechanical - elemental:order)" form instead.
I'm not sure what to say about Order: it's the concept of organization, consistency, proper place, right functioning, mathematics, repetition, routine. it's one of the foundations of reality, and is the opposite of Chaos.
we'll say 6 missions. look here for further edits. hang tight for a few minutes
let's see.
First was a fetch quest, low risk (alchemist)
second was combat, medium risk (bandits)
third was exploration (technically fetch-dwarves), low risk? (caves oh yeah, there were spiders in teh cave too)
fourth was combat, high risk (temple)
fifth was combat, low risk (slaves)
sixth was low risk fetch quest, short (transportation spell expert)
odd jobs for Asylum
exploration minis
1) 10 coin
2) 10 coin, 2 stat, 6 substat
3) 10 coin, 3 substat
4) 20 coin, 3 stat, 9 substat
5) 5 coin, 1 substat
6) 5 coin
odd jobs, 5 coin - favor with the asylum (that is, you have pull with the asylum people and can generally acces what they have more easily)
exploration: done mostly to keep you off mission, but eh, 5 coin.
totals: 5 stat, 19 substat, 70 coin Edit: and let's see, I wonder what level your charisma was before we bumped it? I think it was like -1 to 0, or 0 t o+1, so add 2 points to charisma.
I have no idea how these payouts compare to what you have. As for the coin, we'll discuss a value for your equipment, and deduct for that, probably.
On the other hand, if this pay system falls short for what your character is now, we'll compensate, and that will tell me to boost pay in general. thanks for being my lab rat. Quack Quack, Motherfucker. Shut up.I know rats don't quack.
