Some hallucinogenics would be good.
There's a black market for that kind of thing. You got anything valuable to trade off for it?

He takes this one too.

The quartermaster's likely starting to catch on by now, but he still snatches this up -

Stows this somewhere on his person -

And snags this also, assuming he hasn't been stopped by now.

"Thanks pal buddy guy friendo bye bye now!"

Attempt to snag every knife there and scoot off.
The guy doesn't even bat an eye. he's already pulling another box from a shelf before you get to knife three. He waves dismissively as you scamper off.

Get a short sword. And... ready, I suppose.
The metal doll runs past you, giggling in delight as it clutches a plethora of knives to it's undersized chest. You walk in to the supply depot and are waved over to a line of swords, from which you select one that fits your hand and style.

Ready to go
mkay. Thread coming soonish.

Examine self. What am I wearing, anyway? Is it inconspicuous enough?

Apart from that, just allow myself to be cluelessly swept up in mission preparations as per usual. Maybe acquire some rope. And rations.

You are a baker's apprentice who specializes in inconspicuous. Bassoom won't even know you exist. Yo uget some rope and rations.

"Statement: This one thinks it will go with the Soul Harvester. It seems the most immediatly useful of the two."

Request: Also, please repair this one's staff. It got damaged during the previous mission."

Don't know about how to make double specialisations work. I would have been fine with a simple bonus whenever using clockwork magic, honestly.

If the double specialisation doesn't work, I'm thinking of getting some new kind of magic, or more Terminator abilities. I'm torn between Telekeniss, something that would pair well with soul harvesting, or some robot/terminator upgrade the gnomes cook up.

Soul harvesting kinda doesn't seem to be in line with your character, overall. But if yu want to spend a speciality on it, that's fine. as for double specializing, I suppose we could give it a trial run and see if it works out. Otherwise, the Gnomes will happily arm you with flamethrowers, grenade launchers, and clockwork demolition spells.

Open my eyes.
Before your eyes open, your ears are assailed with the usual sounds of Gnomish activity - the banging of hammers on steel, on wood, on rock - the sound of something burning, the steady pop pop pop of small, nearly controlled explosions. Most of it is distant and of no concern. but you've come to recognize the sound and smell of your handlers, and they are close. Along with the smell and sound of others. You open your eyes and see, as usual, a dimly lit cavern,  hay strewn upon the floor, the detritus of dozens of experiments scattered in hte corners. Many of the objects bear your teeth and claw marks. None of them move on their own, not any more. The chains along the far wall and the heavy, solid bars in front of them are unoccupied and open. The thick door, so like a wooden one in appearance, but too strong to tear down, is closed firmly. But the sounds of your handlers and the others approach. It is like the times before, when they've moved you to the noisy, smelly place, or to the place where they put you to sleep and you woke up with pain in your throat and back. they brought more hands then, too.

Pas'qet blinks back. "Pas'qet donsen't believe I called you anything, Quatermain. Thassssokay though, never to worry though. I supposit tha my presential quizardly getup shall have sufficience, don't you think?"

Hey, did they let me keep those oversized wizard robes from my backstory? I might as well just wear those. I'm a freaky bird monster, after all; my outfit isn't going to make much of a difference in the stealth department.

But we're not in any rush, so might as well explore possibilities. ))

Allright, let's explore some other magic options and some robot upgrades. Tell me more about these clockwork demolition spells. Or something like antimagic, since I've already done the whole "change the way the enemy spell work or neutralize it" thingamajing.

And maybe some other upgrades the gnomes have laying around that use either my magic stat or are passive.

New mission thread at the bottom. read your current actions first, then, if you are going on the mission, head over there and make final preparations.

Pas'qet blinks back. "Pas'qet donsen't believe I called you anything, Quatermain. Thassssokay though, never to worry though. I supposit tha my presential quizardly getup shall have sufficience, don't you think?"

They did let the weird bird ting keep his wizards robes.

The two of you are stopped with a hand on your shoulders.
"Got a special position for ya, mates. Tell me, you like fishing? We're gonna do some fishing. You'll be the hook, mkay? We'll dress you up like bait, and when the fishies try to bite, you bite back, right? There's some good lads. Now, into the crate with ya."

...I'm going to refuse that free levelup.
Alright. anything else pique your interest instead?

Is it food?  Hope it's food coming.  Maybe something that moves.
The door opens, to reveal a familiar, iron banded crate. inside is a nest of familiar objects and a large, fresh side of meat. it's already dead, but it's still warm.

antimagic is specific to a particular form of magic. you could be antispell, anti sorcery(though as a construct, that seems off a bit) anti ritual, antidruidic, etc. it's the same as with Holiness - each has it's own source and expression. probably the most general use would be something like "alter elemental magic." I forget which demolition spells we were talking about. I was throwing ideas at you to see what would stick. Give me something more to work with here, I'm starting to lose track, what with wrapping up one mission and starting the other.

Head to reporting room.
You arrive and are seated at a small table in a small chair. A panel of three enters some time later, and seats themselves on a slightly raised platform. Please begin.

Noir pauses.... and almost seems illl for a moment when the three come in as they grip their head with a hand breathing deep trying to focus and they begin speaking.

"...I...I...My name is Noir. I went on the mission....to retrieve the..........the....heart? Heart right? Yes heart. We arrived...with the carts...sloped...or...on a slope..slide down some supplys lost....I believe...we fixed that situation. I spent my time with.....

Noir bites her lip...and trys to keep composed her eyes growing watery and her voice as she speaks next sounds quite strained.

"...J-Jack....and someone...I think dar...or....or tentacle thing....terrance? I...um.."

Noir swallows and clears away the bluriness in her eyes and trys to focus her voice becoming more firmer.
"...I no we spent most of the time in the starting room trying to get through a kinda collapsed area...helped jack a few times had a few close calls.....and then...it got dark and the.....collapse happened?"

Noir's face contorted...and struggled for a moment ss she remembered....jack..seeing him crushed in front of her and she could do nothing.

"...Jack...jack...was crushed by rubble in front of me...I-I tried to save him but I wasent....f-fast enough...For the...rest of the collapse I don't remember much..beyond...grief...and falling and descending and dodging. I ended up at the bottom went up stairs into a room portal was there..."

"...I don't remember much of the trip....was cold...I was overwhelmed...ended up...meeting some kinda...being....they brought jack back....did some..things that led to....the incident."

" The carts were in the air...most of us would have starved or died of thirst...people couldent get up there..despite multiple attempts..I managed to get up there but...some stuff with the cart happened I messed up my wing...I told people I dident know how to control the thing...but...I don't think anyone heard me...so I had to try to land it........I killed almost everyone....I've only been in this world for a few months...I had no idea what I was doing."

Noir's eyes fill up watery tears flowing out freely now as a sob came from her throat her hands gripping her own hair.

"....Jack died...the floor got destroyed I got out...almost everyome died...I neraly died as well and broke my jaw..messed myself up more..passed out...I spent the rest of the mission staying in one spot while people took care of me and I fixed my wounds............"

Noir holds her head harder quietky drawing some blood with her fingers and she looks up.
"...D-Did...jack have a family...I-I..they deserve to know what h-happened if he does..."
De report.

Aylia's forms: Natural, elf, frostcat, human, raven, horse, goldfish, plantbeing, water nymph, mermaid, bluebell fairy, sprite, frost giant, winged lizard, star sprite, floaty

I turn in my lantern, lantern oil, and bribe pouch as agreed when I was issued them.

I check in on my star sprites, making sure they both got back okay and seeing if they need anything.

I then report in on the mission, giving essentially the same report as was given to Cpt. Grey.

My bad. So, what I'm looking for is two upgrades to fill my specialisation spots. I think the most interesting would be one thing that has to do with magic, and one thing that has to do with clunkers being a construct.

So, for the magic bit I'm looking for options of either upgrading my existing clockwork magic spells, or getting new spells/magic schools. I was thinking less antimagic and more rewriting the mechanics of spells on the fly. You never actually elaborated on demolition spells, you just said the term. I'm open to other kinds of ideas though. Something to do with the clockwork staff could also be real good.

For the construct part, I think something that works off of clunkers being pretty dang durable would be in character.

I don't really have concrete ideas yet, because I don't really know what the gnomes can and are willing to do.

Dar'yajira will ask Grey to bring the moss down to the bottom of Omega Base, and take the metal to... whoever should get it, with an explanation of what he wants done.  Dar would do both things himself, but he's a cat, and therefore somewhat impaired in the "carrying stuff" department.

After that, he'll sneak away before anyone can drag him into giving a report, and head down to the bottom of the base.  He'll spend the turn searching around for a relatively decent place for the lichen to grow--perhaps some cave near the small amount of water that's around?
