"Curious reply: Interesting, expand upon this Black Powder thing for this one. Also, how would you go about the soul harvesting empty core?"
Continue conversation for more info on the soul/magic harvesting thing and the Black Powder, whatever it is.
Also, what upsides do I get if I take a double specialisation?
good question. What advantages would not be the same as gaining a +1 in the base skill .... I don't really have a solid answer to that. I might have to veto double specialization after all, unless you guys can come up with reasons it would not be redundant. Honestly, I don't know at this point.
It is distilled clockwork. The control device allows you to assemble it as you need.We would stick the core into your lower torso. You would activate it using (soul harvester specialization) to draw energy from living or recently deceased things.((I'm a little tired and out of focus tonight.))
go to the quarter master Hit on him cause that always works out
"I'd like to procure a skinning dagger, a hutning bow with some arrows, and a cloak....also a cup or two so I may store the blood of those I kill....or if I can't have all that I'd just like a cloak and short sword."
The quartermaster yields all of these things with a slight sideways glance and a shrug.
"...I was just at the FUCKING QUARTERMASTER FUCKER mayhaps he'll be more cooperative now."
Head back to the quartermaster.
"Hey fucker! Gimme a regular knife, it's a mission thing. Nothing that costs chits or whatever the fuck."
The quartermaster spreads out five knives before you: a pocket knife, a bowie knife, a dagger, a throwing knife, and a switchblade. "What'll it be?"
"That was acceptable, thank you."
Go gather up the papers and try to find information about Bassoom City, it's history, and the recent political situation. Also about Jacob Carmello, his combat abilities, leadership style, general Shadling anatomy. If there's not information in there that I need, go look in the... this place DOES have a library, doesn't it?
Most of the papers have information on you guys. it's standard forms and such, including reason for incarceation, temperament, magical affinity, creature type and so forth. There's a small set of papers written in a rather scrawled hand, with the same style as the 'specialist's speech pattern. They talk about people and places, relationships, murders and thefts, love affairs and rumors. Mostly it seems like petty stuff - life in a street gang. You get a glance at a rather official looking sheet, marked "Resource Allotment" before it is carefully and quickly liberated from your hand.
"Sorry, miss. That one's not for you."You do find a description of Jacob Carmello, known aliases and associates, suspected and known crimes, and threat assessment. Seems he is more of a stealth hunter than a straight fighter, but has a few dirty ricks up his sleeve for if he's backed into a corner. looks like the biggest challenge will be pinning him down and keeping him contained, as he has a habit of escaping when things get dicey. His associates are fairly typical brutes,m bruisers, street wizards, and the like, with a few potentially high level magic users, likely from
The Families" - you know, the kings of the underground. so Carmello is connected. Could be worthwhile to capture him if possible.
SHadeling anatomy is bipedal, clawed, dark fleshed (not merely darkskinned - insides are dark too). they are eyeless, and have a second pair of arms, smaller than the main arms, located immediately below the main arms. They are unarmored, and, as mentioned, have trouble with light exposure. They have three genders.
There is a library. Of bassoom, it tells that it is built at the juncture of two rivers, which flow through a barren land between two heavily populated regions. Thus, it is a major trade location, and is otherwise somewhat isolated from it's nearest neighbors. it is protected by the desert, more than by armies. As such, society is not exactly orderly. There is wealth and there is poverty. And both are crime ridden. "The Families" are as much political powers in the city as they are criminal kingpins. Bassoom has been a part of the Kingdom for centuries, though it is almost an independent city state. It seems that trouble has been brewing there for a time, as forces hostile to the Kingdom seek power in the area. Plus, the level of corruption has often out of hand, and the city is becoming a powder keg of social destruction. It threatens to turn into an oppressive Oligarchy in which only the greatest and wealthiest thrive.
Head to the quartermaster's.
"One setting of civilianized getups, please and thanks. Want to look my best, most sirruptslipswious for the commoner bastlards."
The quartermaster stares at yo ufor a good ten seconds. "The fuck you just call me?"
Head to the quartermaster. So I get some normal clothes and put them over my suit and I also get a dagger and some food for the mission. Then I'm ready.
"O nooo... Normie clothes."
All set. You look ... quite shabby, really.
got some standered clothing from the quarter master
All set.
So, everyone has "normal" clothing(except Doc's character), and the weapons and armor they are after? any other supplies you guys are trying to get?
