Yeah makes sense Noir's gonna have to try and truly grip and understand it she'll probably end up understanding something about her dad too though I'm not sure if what she would need to understand would be bad for her relationship between her father and her.

I have no idea honestly I don't know if it's boosted becuase of that though I assume Noir's magic at least her dark magic is stronger then if someone else were to make a character who uses dark magic. Her holy magic can heal at range and close as well I believe.

Terrence locates its personal storage space (this was negotiated w/ Oz via PM's), and, after surveying the space, stashes all of its loot (excluding the two wooden bowls) within. It then scuttles into the Omega armory, and addresses the nearest biped.

"EXCUSE ME, SMITHY, I HAVE A JOB FOR YOU. I HAVE ACQUIRED THIS PAIR OF GOBLIN ARMOR PLATES, WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE RENDERED INTO A PRACTICAL CARAPACE FOR MYSELF . I WOULD LIKE FASTENERS INSTALLED BETWEEN THE HALVES, PREFERABLY OF FLEXIBLE MATERIAL, AND EXTERIOR STORAGE OF SOME FORM APPENDED. IF YOU COULD ALSO FINISH THE EXTERIOR TO BETTER CONCEAL IT IN DENSE FOLIAGE, I WOULD BE A VERY HAPPY INDIVIDUAL."

The biped you address appears bored and unenthusiatic. A pair of very pointy ears peeks up from behind a counter, however, and you hear a muffled voice call out "oh? goblin armour? let's see what we have here, this could be intere...." as it walks around the end of the counter, the gnome's voice trails off, as it's large, round eyes focus on your form, and your 'armor.'

"Goblin armor indeed ... Well, still ,this ... this could be a challenge. Why, fitting it to your legs alone would be a task, yes, come along!" and he grabs you by a tentacle and whisks you off to another location entirely - a location full of gnomes going about their business - tinkering, welding, ballooning, exploding ... you know, the usual. The gnome that brought you calls out to  several others, some of whom come over in curiousity and begin poking you, prodding the bowls, arguing merits of cow leather verses mana constrictor scale, and so on.

Eventually, you are left alone as the gnomes do their thing, and your bowls disappear into the labyrinth that is Gnomehelma subsidiary of Omega Legion.

You are soon escorted away, and told to await the completion of the work. they say they will find you when it is finished.

After recieving his tune-up and getting that medical programming purged from his system, Clunkers makes his way over to the quartermasters.

"Statement: This one was told to report here for a bonus.
Query: This is the correct place, yes?"

Terrence nods (well, bows), and waddles off. After retrieving its sling, the chest, its farseeing glass, and the two bags of rocks, it heads off in search of an alchemist.

((Do we need to bold actions here, or does that only apply to missions?))

Ah, I see. Very well. hmm ... a unique case.Tell me, what kind of bonus wold you like? better quarters? I presume that food and alcohol are off the table here ... an enchantment, perhaps? Additional foci for your spells, or a gem of power?"

((you should, if people do rp here. otherwise, it's fine. this thread is more quiet than the on-ship one in ER - I probably made it less interesting overall))

You find one, by the smell and the sound of explosions. You are beginning to tell the difference between an alchemical explosion and a gnomish technokaboom. Scary.

Time to return the requisitioned equipment. Sell the studded leather and orc weapon, if I can. I'd like to keep the orc armor and broadsword, but if I can't just walk around with those turn that over as well.

"Response: This one would like to get a drone or two to control. Clockwork, like this one. A spider for mechanical repairs, and mechanical bees or other such creatures for scouting.
Statement: If both or one of those can be gotten from my normal mission pay, this one would be interested in acquiring some sort of timepiece as a foci as well.

Additional statement: This one looted a notebook from the mercenary group during the mission. This one does not know the meaning of its contents, but maybe it is of use to the Legion, though this one realises it is a long shot."

say above, also give them the notebook.

"HELLO? SIR OR MADAM?" Terrence says, tapping the alchemist on the shoulder. "I APOLOGIZE FOR INTERRUPTING, BUT I HAVE SOME THINGS THAT MAY BE OF INTEREST TO YOU." It lowers the trunk to the ground, popping the lid with a flourish. "THESE CHEMICALS WERE RETRIEVED FROM SOME PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS MERCENARIES. UNFORTUNATELY, I AM UNAWARE OF THEIR PRECISE PURPOSE, AND THEIR PRIOR OWNER DIED BEFORE IT COULD TELL ME. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A LOOK... I MAY BE WILLING TO PART WITH SOME OF THEM IN EXCHANGE FOR CURRENCY OR OTHER VALUABLES."

Allow the alchemist to examine the vials, one by one. Try to gauge his excitement and sincerity as he does so, using my empathic abilities.

You attempt to return the leather armor you are wearing, but the clerk takes one look at your twitchy blue corpseself and says "No." he takes the studded leather in exchange, and throws in the broadsword as part of the package. as for the heavy orc armor, it's to heavy to just lug around everywhere. You can take it to your slab in the morgue if you like, but "this place is full of thieves, you know? turn it in and let's talk about what you'd like in compensation, alright? You lot usually come back with more holes than armor, so spares like this are nice to have on hand. .. say, are you alright? you seem a little ...broken."

The guy takes the notebook from you, examines it briefly, and thinks. "Well, a time piece wold be easier to come by than clockwork drones. I assume you mean something mechanical, and not a simple hourglass or sundial. Expensive. But I think this notebook ought to cover it. Alright, all of those things are yours." He writes several notes, andinstructs yo uto take one to the alchemists and one to the gnomes for the drones "gonna be a bit of a mix of alchemy and clockwork, after all," and the last note to another quartermaster in charge of a more selective stockpile for the timepiece. He sends you there first, and the guy behind the counter is reluctant at first, but eventually grudgingly accepts tha the note is legitimate and goes to look for something to your specifications. [insert specifications here]

the gnomes and the alchemists have a field day on you tinkering and tugging, bending, prodding, inscribing, editing, arguing, and exploding. Seriously, these guys blow a lot of shit up. They have to expand your chest a bit to make room for the bees, and this means expanding everything a bit to keep you proportional. as for the spiderbot "We can fit it into a cavity somewhere on your expanded person, or yo ucan have it as a follow along independant bot. the first will protect it from most damage that isn't disabling, but will come at the cost of functionality. The second exposes it to outside issues, but the bot will be lager and more functional. We'll inscribe several repair spells oto it, and give it the necessary alchemical apparati. Your choice."

"Lad. I cannot tell what they are for just by looking at them. Leave the case here and I will examine them in detail. My initial thought is that these are a poisoner's set, but poisoners tend to try to disguise their tools, for obvious reasons. Unexamined, I can take the lot of them for ... two items of alchemical nature. no philosopher's stones - we don't deal in cheap immortality gimmicks here. But, we have potions that can do a variety of things - would you like to grow feathers and flesh webs so you can glide through the air? Or perhaps eyestalks that allow you to see into the realm of the dead?"

While you are having this discussion, your armor arrives. The bowls are almost unrecgnizable, coated in some slick, slightly shimmery skin which changes hue when the armor is set on the ground, fading somewhat to appear asa boulder. The lower bowl is split into eight parts which can open around your mouth and move with your legs. There are covering flaps that extend out a short distance along where your legs wold enter the bowl as well, and glassed eye holes. Each of the eyeholes contains a slot that you can place your scrying eye into as well. the inside looks rather soft and pliant as well. The guy delivering it instructs you on keeping it clean, including methods of removing blood and gore. he tells this in enthusiastic detail, as one would expect from an Omega. he does go on a bit about examples of wounds and ways to die. And on, and on. Dude seems to view armor as a challenge to overcome in creative, gory ways. "Never seen an octurtle before," mutters the alchemist.

((don't forget, you have those stones you looted as well.))

Terrence's earholes prick up at the mention of immortality*, although it does its best to hide the reaction. It uses three of its arms to install the farseeing glass in one of the sockets and don its new armor, while a fourth shooes the messenger away."PLEASE RELAY MY MOST SINCERE THANKS TO YOUR MASTER- THIS PIECE FAR EXCEEDS EVEN MY HIGHEST EXPECTATIONS. YOUR KIND MUST BE TRULY EXCEPTIONAL BY BIPEDAL STANDARDS."

It then turns back to the alchemist. "...POINT TAKEN. I WOULD LIKE TO EXAMINE YOUR WARES, BUT ONLY AFTER YOU HAVE HAD TIME TO IDENTIFY AND APPRAISE THE ITEMS. I TRUST THAT YOU WILL BE HONEST IN YOUR ASSESSMENT, AND THAT YOU WILL NOT ATTEMPT TO SWITCH OUT OR DILUTE ANY OF THOSE VIALS IN MY ABSENCE.

OH, AND BY THE WAY- YOU WOULD NOT HAPPEN TO HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE IDENTIFYING MAGICAL STONES, WOULD YOU?"

Dismiss the delivery guy. Give the alchemist some time to test the vials (as well as one of each of the rocks, if he's interested). While I'm waiting, find a nearby location where I can assume boulder form for a while. Periodically check in on the alchemist via farseeing, just to make sure he doesn't try to cheat me out of anything.

*((Speaking of mortality, that reminds me- I never sent you that info on Terrapodes you wanted. I'll get on that.))
