didn't get an answer to the above question last turn, so reposting it. Ask it to the one issueing the mission.
Then ask for something mechanical that could serve as a focus for my magic as equipment. preferably something smallish. If I get that I think I'm good to go.

There are a variety of smallish things you could use. be more specific, as the particular type of thing will affect the castings in particular ways.

Well, Comrade's race and the soulgem thing that jack had to jump into to sign up allude to possession. My guess is that would have to be a specialization?

Possession is possible, but pretty darn tricky without a specialization. It would require a will confrontation or the victim to be prepared in some way before hand. And at your current ability, would be a constant struggle. It'd be like a wrestler trying to get another wrestler to hit himself in the head repeatedly. I mean, small children you could do without much problem, and could probably steer a drunk pretty well ... But a wizard or a hardened fighter? not so much. ((I am trying to neither give yo utoo much or too little here. Possession is a powerful skill, but you are kinda minmaxed toward manipulation so ... I don't know how this will go yet.))
