You hear a lot of laughter from the balcony. Some of hte people inside the arena turn to look at you. One troll thoughtfully tosses a rock at another troll's head, while both are staring at you. the rock bounces off and rolls away. the troll seems not to notice.

the trolls just sort of stand there, staring and blinking.They seem rather uninterested in your offer. No, they are not what killed you earlier. that was ogres.Ogres are fatter and smaller with tusks and green skin. Trolls are a bit taller, with thicker tan skin, and slightly fewer carnivorous tendencies.

Back to the morgue you go. it's comfortably cold and quiet in there.

Since we have four at base, and half our on mission newbs are mostly faffing about, If Yoink, Comrade P, Zromod and Spazyak all respond, I will start a mission for you four, and any other stragglers that make a viable character by mission start.

Meanwhile ...
Spaz, your character approaches the trolls, crouched down. when you get about fifteen feet away, the trolls start grunting and growling at you, and pick up large stones menacingly. One chucks one your way, and you roll to dodge it, scurrying back toward cover. I don't think they are particularly keen on the testing plan.
