How did you become part of the Omega Legion? Durig a drunken argument with his former master over his wages, Mongo grew angry, and attempted to murder him using his lute. A few nearby town guards managed to arrest him, and he was forced to join Omega Legion.
Background: Captured as a cub by a goblin merchant, Mongo was taught to play a lute and forced to perform as a circus-bear. His life continued this way until recently, when, due to the events listed above, he joined Omega Legion.

I see nothing wrong with this. I'll add you to he OP later, and to my spreadsheet. Right now, you are pretty much alone in Omega base, though. And two missions just started, so it might be a while, unless about three more people join and are active, in whihc case I'll post a new mission for you all.

Okay, thanks. I was a bit worried that being a bear might make Mongo overpowered, due to the raw strength and durability of a bear compared to a human.

It's in the desert, a couple weeks' travel from the nearest civilization.
As for being overpowered: nah, you re well within my original concept of player races, actually, and will not be the first circus bear I have GM'ed.
Plus, I could envision several of the others going toe to toe with your bear, so it's all good.
