((Ahaaaa .-. this reminds me of the funtimes The Last Door [pixel/flash game] brought me. Except there are no horrorbunnies or spookycrows))

I believe there is some aspect surrounding a living person here that is different from reality :O Hello surreal-ness!

Get to the beach, or at least any place where we can get those nicely refined rocks termed as 'sand', probably preferring a more pristine kind rather than 'normal beach' kind. Research forums online discussing these kinds of notes, and/or Norse Mythology on how Hel works.

Good call Sosoku!
I see Tiruin's point. I was initially certain this was modern day... Now I'm not sure. I might go over the posts and try to spot any discrepancies.

Toggle a camera for a timed picture, and then place it in a mirror.  After the picture is taken, remove the camera and inspect the photo.

Maybe buy some sand from Lowes or something. Do we have an RC Helicopter or something? We should try to see if we can put that through the mirror. If it has a camera, even better.

I can't really think of anything new to add. I guess I'm just not in sleuthing mode right now.

(And we're back! i'm no longer suffering from the scourge of winter)

You set your phone on timed, and slide it gently against the mirror. It ripples, and it slides through. It clicks a few times, and you withdraw your phone. The pictures are.....strange. It looks like the street outside your house, but nothing is there. Just fog, a street light or two, snow?

You're unsure about what to do next.

What do you do?

Nothing better or worse to do. Let's check to see if this happens with all mirrors and/or mirror-like object.

Sand circles if we haven't already.

Might prove a half decent idea to just jump in, throwing caution to the wind. Or, at least stick our head in and look around.

Ab-so-lute-ly NOT.  No jumping through the mirror.

If the past is anything to go by, then we aren't safe here. Even if we make a sand circle around that mirror. For all we know, there could be bad guys walking up the drive right now. We saw what happened at the diner. That man had seemingly randomly gunned down an innocent bystander and then disappeared. What we need is to understand what we're dealing with here. In fact, the sand may not even do anything at all. The best courses of action are (a. No caution and we just rush the mirror, or (b. Cautionary glances in, followed by the use of our Google-fu powers to research this phenomena. Pick your poison. Either way, bad stuff is gonna come to us. It is inevitable.

Fine.  Only if we have no other options.

But seriously, sand, sand, lots of sand.

We may be able to grab sand from the yard. We'll carry a pocketful of it with us just in case.

Maybe throw some against the mirror to see if it does anything to it.

Go outside and think about sand. Take a break from all this occult ghost stuff.
