Conall looks at Adoa.
"Uh... I don't remember the last time humans came out in 'versions'. If what I read in that magazine is right, it could be on of 'AI' fellas that they think about from time to time."

Conall scratches his head.
"It's like... you make a person... but technically it isn't really a person and just exists on a really big computer. Like, a person who's mind you can modify."

"A....computer....?"

"Yeah, I think I read about that.
Artificial intelligence, right?  A supercomputer simulating sapience.

They say they're close.  Frankly, I don't see it happening for some reason.

A computer... It's a big machine that does lots of math really fast."

Conall shrugs and starts playing with his power. He stops when a large sword thuds into the ground in front of him like a slightly miffed legend.

"Ack!  Sword!"

Maria jumps away from the sword instinctively.

Conall looks at the screamer like he noticed that it is in fact a sword and didn't need someone to yell it at him.

Friederick taps Adao on the shoulder.
"Uh, I think everything in here is fake, actually..."

Eva sighs and gently covers her face with the palm of her hand. "I think that that man is right, Adao. This is all fake. That's why they call it virtual reality. I think. It's not the real reality." She obviously has very little idea about what is going on, but isn't as willing to jump to conclusions as her friend is. When she removes her hand, she notices the fancy armour that they're now wearing. Along with the weird outfits that everyone else (along with herself) is in too. "Um... Okay then. This is really odd... So what is with all of these clothes and this magic?" Eva doesn't expect a proper answer since she knows that nobody else has any clue either, but asking about it helps her focus on the situation at hand.

Conall looks at Adoa.

"Don't take him too seriously," Eva comments to Conall about Adao. "He gets worked up over everything. One time he got worked up over the price of ice cream and tried to start a fight with the shop owner. Somehow we were able to run away before the police showed up, but it was still pretty embarrassing." She glances over at him and asks, "Did the police ever talk to you after that? I don't remember you saying anything about it to me. I'm sure that they knew who you were after all. You do look rather distinctive."

At this point Eva wouldn't be surprised if a giant chicken suddenly showed up and attacked them. Having a sword come out of nowhere isn't enough to break her composure.

Friederick looks at the sword for a good thirty seconds, and starts pulling things out of his many many pockets.

About three minutes later, there is another 'thud' as of a sword impaling itself in the ground, and a strange device assembled.

Elizabeth is looking at several ice spikes that are flying around in front of her, seeming to direct it as a conductor would an orchestra.

Friederick looks at the sword for a good thirty seconds, and starts pulling things out of his many many pockets.

About three minutes later, there is another 'thud' as of a sword impaling itself in the ground, and a strange device assembled.

"H-hey, don't just tell them about that!" Adao grumbles, pouting ferociously even as he weighs the mace in his hand. Obviously he's not interested in revealing those details, so her continued accusations make his cheeks burn even redder with embarrassment. It probably wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't true.

"Mrgghhh... b-but.. eternity... damsel in distress... ah, fuck it, fine. But I'd still save her even if she was a computer." If he knew how. At least he knows one thing that Eva is confused about. It's enough to briefly get smug over! "Well, obviously our captors are equipping us to fight their battles for them. Wait, isn't that something that's only supposed to happen in impoverished countries? Ai yai yai, I guess we ARE the slave labor..."

"Well, apparently we signed up for this."

Friederick looks at the device he just made.

"I wonder if I could make that smaller and reuseable...Instant knife thrower.  That, however, can wait..."
