For Edgeris, I would prefer a different fault, yeah.
Only on healing items will be a little too rare with two healers for a small group, and to be quite honest, having to roll to see if it triggers sounds like a pain.

Although if you wanted to bring Iris in before the end of the map, we could always White Phantom her and run into the real deal afterward. Dark Souls does give us an out like that. ^^^
