To make a character, you also need to distribute 330 points between your base stats your levelup percentage chance.
HP must have at least 40%, with a maximum of 100%
You cannot put percentage into CON or AID.
Either str or mag must have 10% in at least one of them. All stats bar CON, AID, and HP have a maximum percentage of 70%.

...I would also actually recommend a mage, over a sworsman. The party currently has no offensive magic capability.
