Injured enemies stop acting in many cases, either passing out, expiring, or withdrawing from combat?

I'm thinking of changing a few of the stats and rolls around to be more DnD-like. Have your Dexterity add to your Armour Class, have Cover give you a higher Armour Class, then roll to overcome the Armour Class. Should reduce the time it takes to go through a turn, and balance the combat, too. At the moment it takes a good 2-4 minutes to roll through one attack, which is a PITA when we eventually get to 12 people minimum firing all over the place.

Also, my son's asleep now, let's ROLL.

Edit: Also, I realised about half-way through how OP and silly it was for people's skills to be cumulative in a single action. (ie 1d20 + 2 + 2 + 4). 500,000 idiots in one room are not going to be able to pool their idiocy to build a fission reactor, so to speak.

True, but those idiots are going to have a better chance than if they were alone, I think.

I dunno a good way to account for that, but I'm a systems-get-in-the-way person, so I'm not terribly much help regardless.

Maybe make a Difficulty Cap so that people without training/skills cannot count towards cumulative unless they have someone with them who does have the training/skills needed to coordinate them?

Dante barely resisted the urge to apply a bullet to Koya's knee before he ran towards the Sun.

This raises a concern. Coincidering rolls and roll bonuses separately, what if one gets a crit base failure, or a straight failure? does the success or breakeven  of another helping on the task cancel it out, or do they go on to deal damage to something or someone?

I figure at some point, you're just gonna run outta fucks to give and just off yourself whenever you get hurt at all. It's not like there's any downsides to it. Hangover? Suicide will fix that. Stubbed your toe? Suicide. Headache? Suicide. Papercut? Suicide.

I'm just going to have it treated as individual attempts. A critical failure by the first may cause damage or some other thing that makes further attempts a waste of time at best. Or it could hurt them. Who knows?

You could do it that you take the average. So if everyone does well then its great, but if one person fucks up and then two do great, they can balance it. And the bonus for collective action should be speed or minor bonuses. That way there is an incentive, but its still risky.

Done.

I've also just seriously fucked around with the Character Sheets, and put a link on the Party Page to rules & guides - including crafting and building. I'd suggest you take a good look.

The Rules and Guidelines page seems to be protected.

Any chance you could turn off that protection?  I'd rather not give away my email, no offense!

I just noticed the party sheet. There are 38 crates for our delivery? I thought it was only one crate!

Nope nope! 38! It wouldn't take 15 minutes for a robotic loading team to load one crate.  :P
