The Modding God Game (No limits on players, contribute now!)
« on: December 14, 2015, 01:46:21 am »

So I've been gone for a while, life is overwhelming and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blad blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Now I'm on break for a month and theres 'a new version of DF. Lets try something different.

Here's the premise:

You are a a god who has been sent to this empty universe to fill it with life and intrigue. Though the use of your divine powers you will slowly shape the universe. Name yourself, your spheres (if desired) and begin creating.

Here's the how it works:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Prices:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The game is first come first serve. Only serious responses will be considered. I retain ultimate veto power. If an entry is not specific enough, or impossible for me to mod, then I will get it as close as possible or let you know. Try to be descriptive and creative when submitting things, it will not only make the game more interesting, but also help me mod. There will (depending on the complexity of what I'm modding) be several to many rounds.  The duration of each round depends on the complexity of modding and the speed at which people respond.

I am the god of universes. I am the Shining Trapezohedron.

Strange Weather - Etherbloom

Good regions; gives a temporary bonus to attributes and not-so-temporary abilities to those affected. (I.e Spellcasting). Must have at least a dozen of other variants granting different attributes, having different haze colors and abilities.

Plant - Crystal Tree

Mostly a stony tree. Is made of wood, and can also be used to extract gems.

Plant - Potatoes
Why not?

I am Ultimuh. God of Art and Performances.

My first creation will be the Eyeball Creep.
"A small land animal covered in eyeballs. It gazes eternally upon the world."
It's exactly what is described.
It moves around by simply crawling, like slugs.
It doesn't really have anything else than eyes all over. Maybe a small mouth to make it able to feed on stuff.
It's "eternal gaze" should be the main thing people like it for. If possible.
Imagine what various food recipes could be made from the eyes.

My Second creation will be a strange weather.
Moldy Mist, spreading miasma wherever the wind takes it.

My name is Sinew. God of Doom and Farming.
((You know dwarf fortress, yeh?))

For 50 Points: the ever-lovely plump helmets.

For 150 Points: Plump Helmet Men mancy- transforming plump helmets into plump helmet men to act as minions.

We are the Creep, God of Fungi.

Our first creation shall be the Amanitus.
They shall have the form of a small, red mushroom with white spots.
They can grow only underground and are edible.
They can be used by future sentient species to make Mushroom Juice.

Our second creation shall be the Spore Dogs.
They shall be large dog creatures with purple skin made of soft mushroom material.
They will be very fierce with a deadly venomous bite.
They live in the caves underground.

Our final creation shall be the Jam Mushroom.
They shall have the form of small pink or purple mushrooms.
They grow only underground and are edible.
They can be turned into jam, because jam is awesome.

I am Sentient Bowtie, god of sin and impurity.
My first creation shall be a Demon.
Its kind shall be named, in mortal tongue, "Evil Thoughts", or the closest approximation.
It is made of wisps of smoke, and does no bodily harm to any creature, but causes a great deterioration of mood and sanity.

I'm just gonna make this more free form. Anyone can submit and new turns will begin at my convenience. If something wont work it will show up in a post similar to the one bellow.

ERROR:
Plump helmet mancy: You can't make inanimate objects into living creatures. (DwarfHack may have a script for it, but I don't use DH)
Etherbloom: Can you be more specific? Right now you have a cloud that makes you generally better at everything and also gives you magic. Can you give it a specific spell or something?

If Plump Helmet Men Mancy isn't an option...

I create Duskhounds, pack based canid predators much like wolves, but pure black, larger, stronger, and with a poisonous stinger in the tail that blinds whoever it stings for a short time. That will cost 100 Points.

And for 50 points, I create Duskstone, a black stone low on durability, appearing more commonly in mountains but appearing in other places as well.

Etherbloom is intended to make things more screwy and better at the same time.

With how interactions work, "Dwarves" would be randomly throwing fireballs or whatnot everywhere, to which they don't even get the immunity for casting the spells.

As for the spells... just adapt any from the interactions list, as applicable...

Or if not, I, the Shining Trapezohedron, will summon the wills from all of the other alternate universes to conjure:

Semi-Megabeast: Strange Orb

A perfect sphere consisting of its plating, a crystal core, and a single hidden tool component with which it uses to attack. It is perfectly intangible, which means it cannot be affected by any attacks (passes through; not bounces, unless creative). It attacks by sucking the blood of its foes with its hidden tool component made of a strong steel-like material.

Name: Ledorious
Spheres: Instinct

"Greetings fellow gods, for the world to display great use of intinct they shall be threatened by
Instinctipus
Instinctipus is a demon who has the humanoid-shape of an octopus. It rests in a very deep sweetwater lake and undulates radiation of instinct into the closeby area. It is nearly indestructible, and when it is killed it turns into a stasis, to reawaken 2000 years later. Creatures brought in contact with Instinctipus' secretions and radiations are quickly mutated in more primal mirrors of their former selves (body wise as well as mentally)."

Tesum the Light Direction

Most often depicted as a female sparrow

Spheres: The Sun, Fire and metal

150 Create Interaction: Spin Crystal Thread
Combine 1 of any Wood and 1 gemstone with the Mystic tag or
  Combine 2 Crystal Wood
To create Crystal Thread, properties similar to bronze that can be used in clothing or other cloth interactions, different colors based on color of gem used.  Use of only crystal wood makes it Light Purple colored.

50 Create Stone>Gem - Mystic Opals
A type of gem that counts as Mystic, comes in 6 different colors and found in large veins in Ignacius Intrusive layers and small veins in Sedimentary Layers
All Mystic Opals are either slightly hot or slightly cold
     Colors are Green, Star-Filled(white), Void-Black(black), Speckled Blue(light blue), Zebra Stripped(grey) and Flame-Red(red)
If used to create Crystal Thread the resulting thread maintains that color.

End of Round one. Points renewed.

I did everything except Voidslayer's spin crystal thread reaction. For some ungodly reason I just cant get the reaction to show up at workshops.

The gods descended fervently upon the world, each imposing his whims and will upon the fabric of reality. The world consists entirely of duskstone, mystic opals, and dirt. Crystal trees grow unrivaled across all the lands. Several species of mushrooms have appeared in the upper caverns. Potatoes, the worlds first and only vegetable, live happily under the dirt. A single race, the vanoosh, have appeared upon the world. They are a violent race and have no qualms over ethics. A powerful moldy mist has transformed all good areas into mushroom themed areas. Evils have arisen as well, two types of demons and a species of invincible spheres threaten the vanoosh. All the while the mysterious eyeball creeps watch and wait. What will the gods do next?
