This looks fantastic! I’ve been wanting a way to explore Legends Mode in more detail, especially with the Steam release. The browser-like interface sounds super intuitive—exactly what the community has needed! I’ll definitely give it a try. Thanks so much for all the hard work, and for making it cross-platform!

If you want to post system requirements for Mac, it says it requires macOS 10.15 Catalina (which surprised me because the info.plist file indicates 10.12). And, for Apple Silicon Macs, requires Rosetta 2.

So thrilled to see this! Probably what I've been missing most with the Steam release.

Still hoping we get the remaining Full Legends Export we had pre-steam back soon.

It won't launch on MacOS 14.6.1 on MacBook Air with Apple Silicon M2.

Thank you so much for your hard work on this. This is a beyond excellent tool.

There is a bug with Legends Viewer when dealing with exported saves which have names exceeding 20 characters in length.
Dfhack, at the time of this post, writes the _plus.xml filenames by using the entire name of the save, whereas the default xml filename gets capped after 20 characters before adding the stamp.

You can see the difference here. Trouble is, Legends Viewer consequently won't recognize the _plus.xml if the file names otherwise out of alignment.

The extra power to handle larger XML files is gonna be FANTASTIC for when certain multi-generational adventurer succession games start up in the steam version. I remember Legends Viewer struggling to keep up with The Museum 3's legends exports around the 70th turn mark.

Not sure if dying of old age is an honor or a shame for weaponmasters. On the one hand, it means they never got the opportunity to die in glorious battle. On the other hand, it means nothing could beat them in glorious battle.

Thanks jecowa for the mac system requirements and the crash report!
I created an issue with your infos on the GitHub page.  :)

Thanks dikbutdagrate for bringing this up! This is something that has to be fixed on export side. So maybe the DFHack team can make this consistent with the vanilla export.

Fixing this on LegendsViewer side could lead to other problems:
What if you name your worlds 'my_awesome_world_save_1' and 'my_awesome_world_save2' and DF export makes both to 'my_awesome_world_sav'?
