Assuming that Dante believes Mr. Masters to be out of earshot.

"Good point about the security concern. Bringing Koya over to help with that would probably be a good idea, but we'll need to be very concerned about him trying something sneaky. I'm a little less sure about you heading over, Doc. Quite frankly, Mr. Masters is our priority for medical care, and I'm only a cls at best."

"Authority wise, I think that we go with talking to them, telling the truth, but not filling them in on things that they don't need to know. Things like our new ship, that Mr. Masters killed a bunch of people with improvised weapons and bare hands, and Koya too."

"As far as I can tell Dante, Mr.Masters either cared for himself aboard the other ship, or is Really good at hiding his wounds. most, if not all of them are superficial. meanwhile, if koya stages a one man rebellion of his own, someone's going to be needed to patch the people he injures up. besides, I'm a trained soldier, not a doctor.

I have medical training, But I am also just as good if not better of a shot than most of you. I'd be best suited to keeping koya in line as well, he knows that I saved his ass from bleeding out. might make him hesitate to take a swing at me."

"Fair enough, Doc. Probably best to zip tie him once the ship is secure. I assume that you know best processes for that."

In-game Knowledge: Authorities may attempt to impound ships owned by criminals or detainees, or as per law, claim derelict/unowned ships  in their local space.

"So we're agreed then? You two and our special guest can secure our new ship for us, while everyone else takes Mr. Masters back home?"

Regardless, Dante goes to try to whip up a pot of tea with what he can find.

Saxson inspects the "prize" ship, checking for its name, and repairs any damaged systems that would prevent an immediate jump.

(as far as it seems, me, nunzillor and koya are going to hop ships and try to disarm/ scavenge the ship before the authorities get to it. maybe seize control of it if we are lucky.)

Clive trundles past into the Midnight Sun, leaving footprints of blood in passing and a thin sliver between
from a hanging rag at his waist - which he promptly rips off and throws against the wall with a sickening slap.

Armal and Saxson head back for Koya. On quickly explaining what had happened, and the plan, he simply lowers his
head and if he weren't responsive enough before, now he seems beyond reproach.

Realising the futility of it, the pair return to the flashing, bloody threshold. You exchange mutual looks of apprehension
before taking a deep breath and sheepishly boarding the ship.

On creeping down the silent halls, your footsteps' echoes made ever more audible by the wet walls, you come across
the discarded head of what must have been one of the mercenaries. You follow the bloodiest route and slowly build a
possibly explanation of events, the most obvious in its manner, simple of one man's bloody escape.

The red warning lights still whirl and periodically flash the corridors as you reach the cockpit, where you find the
still-warm corpses of the pilots. On closer inspection, their lifeless bodies are up front in the seats, where their
heads loll inward of the walkway, anchored inward by two flawlessly jammed long shards of scrap metal heavily
crossing like the spears of guards.

Including these, you have counted seven dead; bodies or remains of, so far.

As you pull the dead aside and disable the warning systems, the comms vocalise with their noise noticeably reduced
from earlier on.

"This is the GEA, responding to reports of low-atmosphere unauthorised ship-to-ship large weapon
discharge. Midnight Sun, what is your status here?"

Attempt to get the comms systems functioning again to some decent extent to respond to the authorities. sounds like they have another problem going on, and it gives us a chance to clean up the mess that happened.
"No shooting going on here, Officers. Mr.Masters is safe and sound, on The Midnight Sun. We're just tieing any loose ends before we go in for repairs and finish our errand. There are three of us onboard the other ship, checking for survivors. He's surprisingly tough for royalty, Though I can't say the crew we have found so far are very fortunate."

Dante keeps half an ear open to wait for someone to say something especially silly on the net while he heads to the galley to try to get a pot of tea together.

"Don't you know, you never split the party, engies in the back, keep the ship hale and hearty. Shooters in the middle where they're always in the fight, and you never let the damn thief outta sight."

This... this is awful.  Who really is that man aboard the Midnight Sun?

Vent the bodies.

Check the navigational computer.  Attempt to jump to a planet with a shipyard that doesn't ask too many questions.  Also, how does this ship compare to the Midnight Sun?
