"If anyone attempts to ram, I will beat you senseless with the closest inanimate object. Ramming is Not a viable tactic for organics. If we had drones built specifically for ramming and boarding action then sure. I'd be fine with using those. But organics, who you know. Need air and can't handle impacts in the least. Are not meant for ramming. Not to mention the ship is heavily damaged and will breach if someone looks at it funny."

"This entire situation is a mess. I'm all for NOT dying today, thank you very much. If you want to ram them, do it on your own terms and with your own ship."

"Well, God bless the democratic process then."
Dante nods sagely, then remarks to Armal,

"See, it's funny on multiple different levels, because democratic process while rescuing royalty and all that. Also, God help us get out of the repercussions that this easy delivery mission will be resulting in.

((Assuming Saxson can hear that over the comms:))
"If I knew that this was going to happen, of course I wouldn't have arranged it.  With that being said, however, we can still come out on top here.  If we can disable that ship and quickly strip it before the authorities come, we can make a hefty profit on top of whatever the prince gives us.

We can also demand a bonus from SilverCorp, because this sure as hell wasn't part of the job description.  We still need someone to take out those guns if we want to have even a chance of surviving, though.  You're good with guns, Dante.  Do you think you could take a turret and give it a try?"

"Aye aye. One use of guns, coming right up."

Dante mans the turret, firing a short experimental burst against the enemy turrets, then Kentucky windage correcting before firing a proper burst and walking his way on, eventually hoping to fire a proper Z pattern into the weapon emplacement.

Fix stuff before it gets worse!

Spoiler: Ship Repairs (click to show/hide)

All power from non-essential systems to shields!

Starship Mechanic Roll
1d20 + 2 4 = 19
+7 9 Experience

You successfully redirect power from on-board lighting - the only non-essential power system available - to give a slight boost to the shields! (+1 Ship AC)

Dante mans the turret, firing a short experimental burst against the enemy turrets, then Kentucky windage correcting before firing a proper burst and walking his way on, eventually hoping to fire a proper Z pattern into the weapon emplacement.

Starship Mechanic Roll
4d20 + 0 = Roll(4d20): 2, 4, 4, 9.
1d4 = 3
+4 Experience

Dante mans the turret and fires off a round of shots. Three go wide, with one just about hitting the immobile target. The shields slow the projectile, which hits the target turret, but it's impossible to tell if it has been disabled. Visibly, nothing has changed and the turrets are still not returning fire. The ship continues to float in space. ((-3 HP for Mercenary Ship) 44 / 60).

Spoiler: Targetting (click to show/hide)

the comms begin to buzz, heavy in noise. Likely from the failed jump causing temporary distortions. "ZCZzset... zzZztFtire..!... IZt Zzzretzrrpezt... Zzcezzte zzizzte."

((May I ask why Saxson only received a +2 bonus on his roll, despite his Mechanic skill of 4?))

Saxson says the following over the ship-to-ship comms:  "This is Midnight Sun.  Surrender immediately and unconditionally or face destruction."

Then, cautiously bring the ship closer, almost to the point where boarding would be possible.
Over the ship comms: "Shall we board them and take everything that isn't bolted down?  ...oh, and the hostage, I suppose."

Half Turn Consumption!

Dante identifies the enemy ship. What sort of specific targets does he have available to shoot at and how tough would they be?

"Maybe we shouldn't fire at the royalty-carrying ship, eh? If that ship goes down we'll have the authorities on our ass."

"Yes, but we'd be losing the opportunity to rescue the guy. If only there was some way that we could tap them to prevent their jumping out."

((Sorry -- Check the character sheet. I've added a new section that shows this info, and seperated the MS into a new tab, too)).

((Badass))

"I believe that I can successfully go for a mobility kill, here. If someone could get playing commo-drone with the fuzz, I'd appreciate it. Also someone being ready to scoot us out of range if they open up again. And obviously Armal should keep playing guest services, I think."

Assuming no one else protests too strongly or loudly, Dante will fire on the engines.

Saxson pokes the pilot.  "I... I think there's something wrong with Rob."
