Half Turn Consumption

Dante tries to determine the type of fire he's taken, as well as how accurate it is. Does it seem like they particularly care about hitting their buddy?

Dante takes in the enemy fire. Some day he'll learn to take cover more quickly. The enemy is either not trying to kill him or (more likely, they're incompetence), which means that he should either beat feet for cover, or try to withdraw further and wait for the big guns.

Code: [Select]
Perception Roll
1d20 + 2 = 17

You spot the source of the fire; pistols pointing from behind large columns on the "porch" of the mansion. The weapons are firing physical projectiles.

Their efforts of avoiding their ally on non-determinable, as you are not terribly close to the now no-longer stunned assailant.

From their clothing, weaponry, lack of uniform and being of here, these are either mercenaries, bounty hunters, or some other sort of unaffiliated squad.

Araval would advance as quickly as he can upon the enemies, trying to determine the exact locations that they were shooting from as he provides suppressing fire against the second assailant for his buddy to escape.

((Preeeetty sure it's out of character to take a nap during a situation involving people shooting at us.))

Upon being informed the power is disabled. Attempt to fix it.
Saxson joins him and assists.[/cyan]

+5 Experience for giving me a new feature idea.

"Suppressing Fire" added to possible stances. -6 Attack Roll to a single unit, if you do not move. -3 Attack Roll to a single unit if you move on the same turn.

"Alright buddy, line or fire isn't a terribly safe place to be, so let's head back to the ship, eh?"

Dante will close with Assailant A and get him on his feet, using him as a human shield and withdrawing towards the ship. If Assailant A resists more than a little bit, Dante will shoot him.

Turn 2

Player Team

Vakar, Rob and Saxson attempts to discover what the problem is with the power.
Code: [Select]
Starship Mechanic Roll
1d20 + 2 + 4 + 2 = 20
The engineers soon trace the power issue, and realise that a terminal has been mis-installed someplace, and is causing issues in the flow of power - causing a relay to malfunction! This will need looking further into.

+15 Experience each.

O. Armal stays out of cover and fires supressively on Assailant B.

+5 Experience.

Dante holds Assailant A ransom as a human shield, with a gun to his head, slowly backing toward the ship.

Opponent Team

Assailant B fires at Dante!
Code: [Select]
Assailant Attack: 1d20 (no modifiers) [critical failure] = 1

Assailant B's pistol explodes in his hand! -5 HP

Assailant C fires at Dante!
Code: [Select]
Assailant Attack: 1d20 + 1d4 + 1 = 11
Dante Dodge 1d20 + 1 - 5 (due to slow) = 11

Human Shield Check: 1d20 = 3
Assailant Damage: 2

Assailant C's shot hits Assailant A in the arm! -2 HP

"Kertis! What the hell, man!" he shouts. "You got yourself in this situation, Koya!" the assailant answers.

Another assailant has appeared on the roof of the mansion, overlooking the landing bay. He takes cover behind a merlon.

Rules Update
- Firing from cover no longer has a penalty.
- Firing at somebody behind cover now has a -4 attack roll penalty.
- A human shield will *SLO(W)* effect both characters involved.
- A human shield is bypassed, ergo striking the captor, if they roll a 15 or above on the relevant check.
- Ammunition is now unlimited. It's a bit overkill for an RPG to count your bullets. Debate in OOC Thread if you're against this motion. Ammunition is now limited per person, by law, by licence held.

There's no time!  Look for the problematic terminal and, if the others can't fix it, rip it off the wall!

"Koya, I don't think your buddies care if you live or die! might wanna change your mind about working with them!"

Armal would move to cover after seeing the person on the roof. they have a sniper's vantage point, which is Very bad, and i'm out in the open. Besides, gives me time to reload (if it happens to be a thing.)

Dante continues backings up, increasing his speed as the fire picks up.

"You're an asshole, Ketris!"

"Hey Koya, if you're cool with doing what I say, we can sprint to cover instead of this slowly backing up methodology."

Koya's face twists indistinguishably; "Aghh! Alright -- Let's make a break for cover behind those crates on the pad!"
