"Fair enough."

Dante drains whatever drink is the nearest, then rifles through unknown assailant's pockets for an ID or anything else valuable. "Do tell the cops that I'm Dante Chaucer and that I'll be conducting my own investigation into this. They should know who I am"

"And with that, fair spacers, the day's entertainment ends. Remember to tip the cocktail waitress"

Exuent Dante

Then he'll head back to the ship to see about getting some medical attention, avoiding anything along the way unless it's especially interesting.

Code: [Select]
Perception Roll
Result: Failure

Code: [Select]
Loot Roll
Result: Good

As you loot the assailant's belongings, you discover an unopened Supplementary Credit Card with a value of 58 credits.
You also find a Hotstone in his inside pocket, a solar-powered device that, when placed next to the skin, is hot enough to regulate your temperature - though it only works for a short period by all accounts, on full charge.

You return to the ship successfully, seeking medical attention.

**A Supplementary Credit Card (SCC) is basically "loose change" that you can transfer to an account. Sort of like a gift card, but worth actual cash.**

Dante will make his way to the med bay and try to give himself some basic first aid.

"Doesn't look like anything that'll need kerlix or even an Israeli, but best clean it up and put some pressure on it, I suppose. Damn unarmored jacket."

He'll probably examine damage to his coat too. That's nearly as important as damage to the body, after all.

((Darn notifications keep turning off. *manually clicks the button for the third time*))

Seeing as how the engineering room had lots of loose cables before patching it up, time to go around the ship and see if I can't tuck loose cables into the walls or bind them together to lower the risk of electrical burns. Maaaaaybe check to make sure the ship can actually pressurize itself. That could and would be potentially fatal to find that out too late.

First Aid Roll
Result: Minor Success

You discover that, unfortunately, the med bay is barren and ransacked of any treatments. Nethertheless, you take off your jacket and tear your ruined shirt into strips of cloth and wrap it about your body, with a thick padding over the cut, effectively stemming the bleeding. You replace the jacket, seemingly undamaged.

The task a simple one; you shut off power to each room, tuck cables away behind one another and reactivate the power as you go along. They'll probably wind up falling back out at some point, but you secure them as best you can.

Starship Mechanic Roll
Result: Success

You realise that, laughing in spite of yourself, the interior of the walls are accessible by vents and the like, in any case, so pressurisation wouldn't be an issue with superficial wall damages like this.

With the return of Dante Chaucher and the stabilization of his condition,
the crew have all returned to the ship.

They gather around the table in the Commons to take stock of what they may have learned,
their current status and next steps.

Well I guess I go first. I got the contact information for an old ship junker who might be able to get us cheap, but outdated, ship parts. Besides that I fixed up the engine room and bought some tinker toys. That being said, I don't really know what our mission is, maybe someone can bring me up to speed on what exactly we're doing?

"Seeking out fame and fortune, I believe. For now, I thinking getting our facilities reasonably shipshape would be a good priority, unless we've got an easy job available so we can get some more credits to do said ship shaping."

"For my part, I successfully got shanked by a guy I've never met before over something I can't really remember doing. On the bright side, I pocketed a few creds that I can put towards the general fund."

"Short term I propose we get the ship online. Longterm I propose we work towards getting some automated mining facilities online, ore goes a long way when you know how to use it."

The ship is online and I'm ready to take off whenever we all are.

"The ship is online and fully functional, though it still has some cosmetic problems like loose wires here and there.  Through a company called SilverCorp Pharmaceuticals, I've arranged for a basic delivery job from the Yaris Lo system to Sanctuary.  They already paid us half, 800, with 800 more for us once we make the delivery.

The 800 lies in a joint account, in a bank here on Everhope, that requires everyone's permission to take money from.

We've got a couple of administrative things to take care of:
1.  Naming the ship or keeping the ship's previous name.
2.  Choosing a captain or deciding to use democracy.
3.  Deciding on crew wages, how much (a flat amount or percentage of income) and when these wages are distributed.

I hope we can get these out of the way fairly quickly, because, as Rob has indicated, the ship is ready to take off and we have a time limit on our delivery job."

"Ten percent of profit, after individual expenses goes to each of us, with the remainder going to the group fund, I think.

"And I'd put forward Midnight Sun for a ship name. Perhaps a bit grandiose for this style and capability, but no reason we can't aim high."

"10 percent works for me.  That means we give ourselves 60 percent of a job's payment, and I suppose we would do so right after we're paid in full.  Likewise I don't have strong feelings about the name, so Midnight Sun is fine with me."

"Do we have any objections or alternate proposals for name and payment?"

"The payment sounds fine, and I have no preference on the ship name. Make no mistake, I don't care about the ship's "soul"; it's a means to an end, and that's all that matters."
