Saxson's smile, multitudinous in its affectations indeed, changes to one of relief.  "The VIP run sounds great, Jenson.  We of course have the Sanctuary record, but is there any chance the company could provide the Yaris Lo record?  No worries if not, I'm sure we can pick it up somewhere."

Accept the VIP Order.  Ask him for the Yaris Lo navigational record.

"Ah, don't worry about it," Jenson says. "Any and all records are provided on acceptance of a contract. I'll forward you the initial payment now."

Your HoloWrist makes a satisfying, familiar yet not often heard Kaching sound effect. Your heart skips a beat at its cheesy sound effect and think, "I should probably change that if I'm going to be doing business..."

"I've forwarded the co-ordinates and addresses to your HoloWrist. Hover it over your ship navigational terminal to transfer the details. Mr Masters is expecting his order in two days time - please make sure it arrives within this time. Do you have any other questions?"
((If not; close the conversation and continue as you like)).
((Also; please note that the cash has gone into your Creditor Account (Bank account). You'll need to open a joint account with a creditor for your party to transfer credits to the party pool)).

"Well shit, would you hold my drinks for me if I headed back into the cold and the wind?"

Dante idly puts thoughts of dead little brothers to the side, taking in the situation and looking for the best plan of attack. Is there an ash tray or anything else well placed to throw? Does mystery assailant number 1 look like he knows what he's doing? If he's drunk enough and not handy looking with a blade, Dante will try throwing something and closing quick, trusting his clothes to let him close the distance with a glancing slash instead of a getting properly stuck.

You attempt throwing the nearest object at the assailant - which you realise too late is a small wicker basket of packets of crisps (American: "chips" ¬_¬). "Hey!" the tender shouts in contempt as the basket and bits of food go flying over the drunkard's shoulder in a total miss. You follow the basket with your first; the attacker utterly failing to see it coming. Your punch strikes him directly in the guy, leaving him doubled over in pain, though his leather jacket absorbs some of the force

((Good to know, I'll try and set that up after this conversation, probably.))

"Perfect, pleasure doing business with you.  I do have a few questions.  I assume Mr. Masters is our contact on Sanctuary?  If so, can we have his contact information in case of (unlikely, I'm sure) unforseen complications?

Also, who is our contact on Yaris Lo, and can we have their contact information as well just in case?

Lastly, does the package need to be kept warm, cold, or anything like that?  And can I get you or your department's contact information so that I can contact you directly?"

Say the above.

After arriving back at the ship I realize how stupid I am to have forgotten to get an engineering kit! I take note of all the supplies and decide to install a terminal in the engine room, hooking it up to the entire ship system. (Unless I need tools that I don't have. If I need tools to install it then look for tools around the ship, otherwise run system diagnostics).

Code: [Select]
Roll Starship Mechanic +2
Result: Success
Reward: +16xp
You first remove a panel that somebody has put over the hole that once housed the terminal. You then screw the terminal into place with some impromptu tools.

Next you isolate the power matrix in the room, pull out a bare-ended cable, cut back the wire tubing and combine it with half of the new cabling you bought. You go over it with some now-empty Adhesive Tape! you found for good measure and voila; a brand new cable. You plug it into the back of the terminal, warp the removed panel to allow space for the cabling through and plug the hole back up.

In reactivating the power in engineering, the terminal boots up and, surprisingly, works. Looks the junk dealer isn't a shady fellow after all.

Rob runs system diagnostics across all ship systems to make sure everything is running properly. He mutters Hopefully she runs better than she looks to himself.

Say the above.

"Certainly; all contact information is now being downloaded to your contacts. However due to Data Protection, if you need to contact our customers, please contact us so that we can do it for you. Mr Masters is a customer of ours who has ordered our products. You must deliver and unload them to the address provided.

Your ship has been added to the arrival manifest at our Yaris Lo depot. Simply arrive and you will be automatically docked to the correct bay, where a loading team will be waiting. The goods will be kept in a regulated environment, so you need not worry about their requirements."

Impressed, Robert heads over to the newly powered terminal, "Nice work. Maybe investing in this ship wasn't as large a mistake as I thought it was."

Rob turns to Robert I listened to the engine earlier and it sounded smooth and functional. This diagnostic should let me know if anything else needs fixing. If not, we should be good to start doing jobs.

"Excellent, thanks again.  Have a nice day." With that, Saxson ends the call and changes the payment sound to something less... embarrassingly appropriate.  He then checks the Web for a local bank and calls them to set up a joint credit account.

Before that, however, he sends the following text message to the crew:
Quote from: Saxson to rest of crew
I've arranged for a delivery job, pays 1600 credits and they gave 800 up-front.  As soon as we've finished all repairs, I recommend we head to Yaris Lo to begin immediately, if everyone agrees.

Call bank, set up joint account, and then transfer 800 credits to it.

Dante smiles and rolls his shoulders, ignoring the wound to bluff his own strength. "So, is that a sufficient taste of blood to sake your honor, or are we going to continue?"

He hangs back and keeps his distance, looking for an opening or something else to take advantage of the situation. If he gets attacked, he'll try to go to the side, right up against the bar and counter.

According to the DzDiag diagnostics report, nothing seems to be out of order. Considering the abuse it's suffered from the Merch, it seems to be perfectly healthy and in running order.

((Hehe, you should have known that your players were ninjas.  Looks like someone messed up the vetting process.  :P))

"I agree.  With that being said, however, the ship isn't in too bad shape.  Most of what that asshole stole were non-essential parts, I believe."

Call bank, set up joint account, and then transfer 800 credits to it.

After passing through anti-fraud and credit checks over a half hour period with a strangely familiar customer services personality on a different face, and boring conversational dialogue, a new account is set up between your crew members.

Rules
To withdraw from the account, all parties must validate the transfer.
To make a payment from the account, all parties must validate the transfer ((as such, it might be easier to simply withdraw "salaries" from the account to crew members once a week or something, rather than every small purchase needing to wait for authorisation from all.))
To deposit into the account, no parties must validate the transfer.
To add a new joint member, all parties must validate the action.
To upgrade, update details or any other such actions in relation to the joint account, all parties must validate the transfer.

Validation simply requires confirmation, or not, via a pop-up on your HoloWrists.
Joint Holders deaths need not be reported to the bank as the account will automatically be adjusted.

The new account has been opened with TrustLink and is located at the EverHope Branch.

Keep an eye out on any corporate/financial/political movements that might threaten your creditor and/or branch, as this is where your cash is "stored". War, bankruptcy, etc.

He hangs back and keeps his distance, looking for an opening or something else to take advantage of the situation. If he gets attacked, he'll try to go to the side, right up against the bar and counter.

Assailant's Turn: Attack: 6-12: Failure
Dante's Turn: Attack: 10-8: Success
Damage: 3
((Still working on the best layout :P))

The assailant screams wildly and charges with his blade brandished, missing and overstepping as you shift your shoulders and footing so your back is to the bar; your poised hands grab the man by the back of his jerkin, pushing him down and forward to meet your rising knee, striking the Assailant in the groin. The blade clatters to the floor and he drops to his knees for a moment, clutching, red-faced and breathing falteringly.

How do you end the fight?

Elbow to the upper back, followed by claiming the blade for himself and doing some knowledge checking after a one liner.

"That's aboot enough for me, I think."

Do local cops care about brawls involving blades in a spacer bar? Do they care enough to try to track him down if he leaves? How fast and professional are they, usually? Will he face serious annoyances if he sticks around and talks to them?

Dante will also take time to check on the wellness of his opponent, is he definitely out of the fight? Still breathing? If he presents serious resistance, Dante will stab repeatedly and regret it lately, if he's conscious he'll start questioning, and in any case, he'll do a quick search of the assailants possessions, acquiring anything that isn't purely sentimental or worthless.

"So buddy, why don't you tell me about these people that your brother fell in with? Good odds we could make it right."

Assuming he has any spare moments for thinking, Dante will look back. Are there any young men that he's killed lately who could be the source of this grudge? Forgetting things like that isn't that surprising of an outcome for him, but it's worth a shot in the dark.
