Lazarus doesn't say the 'hopefully' out loud. He read somewhere that faking confidence makes you more confident.

He extended his skeletal hand to Lazarus, who he seemed to be paying more attention to.

A whoopie cushion sounded, letting out the rumbling noise of a loud fart through the silent room.
"heh. the ol' whoopie cushion in the hand trick.. it's always funny."

Alvin watches Gell carefully, awaiting his next move.  That whole "stay forever" thing, along with his prior experiences here, didn't fill him with trust.

Sans led Hedron to the back of Hedron's house.
"i'd crack a joke, but... things are getting pretty grim, if you know what i'm saying."

Alvin gives Lazarus a surprised look, and points at the other monster in the room.  "What about this guy?"

To Alvin's questioned, he looked at Reprise. He then turned back to the others and winked.
"Woah, Reprise! The delta rune on your back! The paint is fading!"

: You may have b-bested me for now, by some miracle of luck, but I'll be back!

Reprise leaps up, in a single polished move, and jogs backwards out of the shed, keeping his back turned away from the group.

: Oh man oh man oh man I have to tell the rest of the Guard about this but what if they take all my credit then I don't get any of what I deserve
