"The Fall of the Rebel Angels"
Painted in oil on the panel is a masterfully designed image of angels and demons by Pieter Brugel the Elder. The angels are striking down the demons. The artwork relates to the battle "The War in Heaven" in the year ~NaN.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if DF's demon's took some prompts from Medieval and Renaissance imagery.

Anything by Jeroen / Heronimus Bosch probably also qualifies.

But yeah medieval depictions of demons and angels tend to be more fascinating than the egalised dnd stuff we have today.

I still would like them mire if thet were like something chimeraic, testamental, lovecraftian, evangelionesque or madokian than medieval. DF demons and angels are too tame in their weidness.
