Vital Signs
Pulse
Recorded in beats per minute. Determines how fast the heart is beating. Normal ranges are between 60-100 BPM.
Respirations
Recorded in breaths per minute. Determines the rate of breathing of the person. Normal ranges are between 12-16 breaths per minute.
Temperature
Recorded in Celsius. Determines the body temperature of the person. Normal body temperature sits around 37 degrees Celsius.
Blood Pressure
Recorded in millimeters of mercury (mm Hg). Determines how hard the heart is working to push blood throughout the body. Normal ranges should be below 140/90 mm Hg.
Oxygen Level
Recorded in percent saturation. Determines how well the blood is saturated with oxygen. Normal ranges are between 95-100% spO2.
Wound Types
Superficial Wounds
Superficial wounds are scrapes, cuts, abrasions, lacerations, punctures, burns, or similar that do not cause significant bone or internal organ damage. Priority for superficial wounds are to clean them of any debris, sterilize them of any pathogen or infection, and to close the wound. A checkup scan should be done afterwards to make sure that the wound was healed appropriately.
Bone Fracture
A bone fracture can take many forms and varies in complexity based on severity. In a simple or compound fracture, setting the bone to be straight is priority before using a bone regrowth serum so that the bone reforms properly. Improper setting of a bone can have long term consequences. Comminuted fractures are when the bone has broken into shards. Priority should be surgically removing these shards before setting the bone and applying the bone regrowth serum to intact fragments. After recovery, ensure the patient gets a calcium supplement or a meal that contains calcium, to make up for lost reserves used by the bone regrowth serum.
Organ Damage
Organ damage is complex and requires acute surgical skill to properly heal. Be sure the tools and the site is sterile before operating. A common tactic is to create a small semi-permeable shield around yourself and the patient to create a sterile environment. A wounded organ can be healed using a highly acute healing spell but only if enough live tissue remains to rebuild the organ. If the organ has been completely compromised, a replacement will be needed.
Malignant Mass
A malignant mass is a cancerous tumor, either naturally formed or the result of magical contamination. The easiest way to deal with a malignant mass is by cutting it out and killing the malignant tissue. A controlled spirit burn is recommended for localized masses.
Infection Types
Benign Infection
A benign infection is the umbrella term for naturally forming viruses and bacteria. Usually not an issue for modern medicine as benign infections have almost no resistance to spells that target them. It's been documented that magical contamination can cause unprecedented mutations in benign infectious diseases.
Spirit Burn
A spirit burn is a term that relates to the effects caused by arcane sources, spirits, and certain magical compounds. Spirit burns can't be reversed and will eat away at tissue, converting it into its base magical essence. Lesser spirit burns will eventually "burn out" and heal on their own. Freezing a spirit burn can slow the process but it needs to be surgically removed in order for the patient to return to normal health. A spirit burn tends to be an uncommon infection.
Demonic Growth
A demonic growth is caused from a malicious demon's presence in a wound. Similar to a spirit burn, a demonic growth will eat at tissue but it will not burn out on its own. A demonic growth needs to be removed or exterminated. Most demonic growths are highly susceptible to fire and high temperatures. Do not use any other spells on a patient with a demonic growth or the growth will feed on it.
SCAN EVERYTHING!
While you'd love to scan everything ever and solve every problem ever, that's not really possible. You compromise and scan everything in your inventory as well as every person nearby.
You display the info on the shitty UI of your wrist computer.

It's an advertisement for Budro cola. It's disgusting, only necromancers drink the stuff.
You know. If Pixies took his money, there might be more stabbings in the future. Perhaps it would be good to ascertain the wherabout of these Pixies and embark on some ah... Preventive Medicine.
Pixies? You gotta be kidding, the tiny little fluttery fairies? The guy's obviously off his rocker. At most you'd need a fly swatter or something if you're dealing with that sort of problem.
Still, it might be fun to see if his words hold any weight...
"Ugh... I can't believe I'm saying this... You said you were attacked... by pixies? Where can I find them? I'll make sure they don't cause any more... trouble."
"They went that way, holed up in their den of sin and debauchery! Down the street there!"
Sure enough, just down the street is a place called "Cyber Sylph's". At least the view's nice.
