Ask if he has insurance.
If he says yes, actually remember how to medicine. Otherwise we'll remember later.

Also: what's a medi-bike and how do we take it out of it's pod?

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

Treat the guy, at the very least sterilize the wound and sew it up/bandage/etc.

The medi-bike is your personal motorcycle you use to get around. It's the perfect bike for non-surgical emergencies as it's fast and nimble. The carrying pod is a magical device that stores the bike within a super condensed core and can be brought out by pressing the center button. Pressing the center button again will recall the bike into the pod, no need for garages in this modern day.

Ask if he has insurance.
If he says yes, actually remember how to medicine. Otherwise we'll remember later.

"Hey! You got any insurance?!"

"We got universal healthcare, just fix my damn knife cut!"

"Welp... that's all the motivation I needed."

Treat the guy, at the very least sterilize the wound and sew it up/bandage/etc.

This is it... the moment you've been waiting for... a real patient to test your medical prowess on... you've only got one shot...

You easily sterilize and heal the wound with a 2-in-1 spell. You probably went a little overkill on it...

"Ah... I think that cleared up my sinuses too. Thank ya kindly bullfrog lady."

"Yeah whatever. Just a few questions before you go, gotta log this into the database. Oh and... go away from my front door afterwards. I don't want you scaring away my other patients."

You log the procedure and update the city on the hobo's medical status on your DatanetTM arm computer. The interface is terrible and looks like it was made in 2 minutes, you'll have to upgrade sometime.

You got 10 zeni from the operation. Zeni is, obviously, a very great name for a currency and no objections to the contrary will be tolerated.

Damn Pixies...

You know. If Pixies took his money, there might be more stabbings in the future. Perhaps it would be good to ascertain the wherabout of these Pixies and embark on some ah... Preventive Medicine.

...remember how to medicine...

You look up "Medicine 101 and Field Surgery Basics" on your wrist computer.

SCAN EVERYTHING!

While you'd love to scan everything ever and solve every problem ever, that's not really possible. You compromise and scan everything in your inventory as well as every person nearby.

You display the info on the shitty UI of your wrist computer.

It's an advertisement for Budro cola. It's disgusting, only necromancers drink the stuff.

Pixies? You gotta be kidding, the tiny little fluttery fairies? The guy's obviously off his rocker. At most you'd need a fly swatter or something if you're dealing with that sort of problem.

Still, it might be fun to see if his words hold any weight...

"Ugh... I can't believe I'm saying this... You said you were attacked... by pixies? Where can I find them? I'll make sure they don't cause any more... trouble."

"They went that way, holed up in their den of sin and debauchery! Down the street there!"

Sure enough, just down the street is a place called "Cyber Sylph's". At least the view's nice.

How impossible is using medical magic to give someone superpowers?

Superpowers? Not really sure, there are spells to make you go faster and all that though not without a price.

As for current spells, you'd need some creative thinking on their application to really buff someone.

Combining spells can be done to create new spells too.

Just thinking if there are spells to stimulate muscle/nerve growth for healing then maybe with the proper limiters you can use them to at the very least enhance training speed and hopefully give someone superstrength speed and/or reflexes.
