Shift R or View rooms/buildings

Just a little curious at to what this screen is actually showing me?  Could someone please point me in the right direction or give me the low down?  Sorry if this has already been asked before or there is a thread... I have been *shdrinking*

 It shows you allyour designated building and their quality (meager office, modest bedroom, royal dinning room) and their position (using minimap) and IIRC allows you to jump to said location. 

Useful if you want to plan out distribution of your several quarters that placed on different levels and vary in quality.

You can also search for buildings assigned to certain dwarves. I think, stockpiles are also listed and searchable at least by name.

The minimap is unfortunately a bit difficult to interpret, so what I do is cycling through the list of rooms and pressing 't' to zoom there in the large map.
