1) One player is randomly THE THING.
You will find out at the same time as everyone else if you are or are not the thing.
2) Do not copy paste this or ANY information I PM you.
3) If the thing is killed, it will come back to life. If a normal player is killed, they are eliminated for good.
4) Do not communicate with players about the game if you are eliminated. DO NOT communicate with players about the game if you are eliminated. No last words, just silence.
5) As you explore the map, every turn you will choose where to move, and PM it to me. Within a turn you can change areas, and or pass through one door.
6) The goal for marines is to escape.
7a) The goal for the Thing is to kill everyone or escape, causing all marines to lose. If the thing escapes, regardless of how many marines escape, it is still a win for the Thing
7b) A secondary goal for the thing is to entertain all the players. I am going SS13 here, antagonist =/= murderboning. If you are the thing, PM me your chosen lore at round start.
The turn order is:
•PM your move or action
•Receive PM of information
•Repeat
9) Posting in the thread is OK, and considered using a walkie talkie. Obviously everyone can see it.
10) You will get a random weapon and may come across more and other items listed below. The only restrictions to items is you can only hold 1 weapon. You may trade a weapon for another you find, or with a player. You may trade other items as well.
11) You will have some means and methods of deducing who is The THING. Details classified.
12) You have 8 pints of blood and 99 internal body temp, don't let either get low. Find warmth and medical supplies. Find weapons. Work together, and trust no one.
13) When you die, feel free to wait for next round and play again
14) Anyone non-responsive for a period of 24 hours or more is PREFERABLY (not concretely) to be ignored by the Thing and Marines, if they are gone for a period of 36 hours+ I will take their turn for them until they come back. I will post when someone is inactive
