Since of technical, family, and health issues I will be officially putting this on hiatus. I will be reporting on some comments here, but I cannot have the time to do the huge update this would need.

While I do.. actually feel somewhat offended by this, I do thank the community for not all leaving for some shenanigans. I wanted to provide a tool and some help for each achievement. Something that would both connect with why the achievement is there and assist the players. A pik was the greatest one I could think of. Now, for what this reference is.. say a pik. Look at it. Don't say pik, say a pik. It's just a pik.

This will most likely be somewhat serious, but also.. allowing some slight hilarity. For my first big forum game? I'm going to have some fun with y'all. I do apologize for hiatus'ing this for a bit..

Family matters, etc, make me completely incapable of doing this, and focusing on it. Sorry!

Well, given the reasoning, I'm back in when this comes off hiatus, mainly because I kinda spent a while making my character. (Also I think you posted the exact same quote twice)


I still feel a pik is too much of a initial help. The reward could have been that we happen to wake up in a place with a lot of local wildlife or a herd of easy prey was located nearby. That way it would still be something we need to work towards, not just magically spawning in with a pickaxe (or pik). But meh, not my game.

I'm flattered. Also, a pik might not be the best 'advantage'. None of you know exactly how to use a pickaxe, how to dig efficiently, how to repair it if it works, where to dig, how to obtain metals, how to smelt them or make them into anything of use.

I think there is always a question mark put onto our tech level. Some see us as Stone-age survivors, others see us as modern age Robinsons with all the knowledge but without the tools to make that happen.
