Baron the family with the most kids, so plenty of heir to murder.

This seems fair! I'll do this, and we will find out who wins the Baron Roulette next update.

Eh, sure. Always a good thing to have some spare [unfortunate] accident-prone people to soak up danger from others. Onyx has been performing that duty nicely, but maybe some... more civilian-minded ones would be good.

Two other things: A. has Erin written any more books, and B. are there any professions that you would believe to be more mad science-y than being a scholar, and if so, please make Erin one.

Not yet! Also, I'm hoping that someone makes a scientific breakthrough eventually. I wonder if it doesn't work on humans, or what. We have six scholars. Once that happens maybe he can get the title of Chemist or Dr. Claw or something.

The Black Samurai. He doesn't care if you cut off all of his limbs, he'll bite you to death and then build new ones. And because Samurai had paper armour.  :D

The three candidates for BARONY are:

Ilre Obeycarry - Single Mother of two, and a fisherwoman by occupation. Worships Ono Blockwarded, deity of fortresses. Likes bismuth, clear glass, bows and hatch covers. 32 years old, moved to BLAZECOOKS last year 09.

Shud Rubbedmoisten - Married father of two, professes to be an administrator but is currently employed as a dedicated hauler. Worships Quamun, Goddess of Love, and Mobmu, God of Twilight. Likes black bronze, ballista arrows, and traction benches. 33 years old, and moved to BLAZECOOKS in the year 07. Possibly a contender for most uncomfortable combined name combination in the city.

Thrun Nestleshields - Married father of two, and a farmer by trade. Worships Quamun, Goddess of Love, and Dilol Masterbanner, Goddess of Rulership. Likes puddingstone, brass (our main export), traction benches, and earrings. 35 years old and moved to BLAZECOOKS in the year 04.

Notice: Apparently I'm a goddamned retard and can't figure out how to reopen to poll. How do? Why did I make it close I don't know.

I vote for Thrun Nestleshields. I mean, he's the only one here who worships the Goddess of Rulership, and likes an item that we have in abundance. He's a close-to-ideal noble.

Thrun it is. Wish I could figure out how to refresh the poll.

He has been elevated. Now here's the thing, he needs a palace. The current royal palace does not meet Queenly standards, but has been close enough to keep Queen Amperzand content. It's time to move the Baron in, and build a new permanent ROYAL PALACE for our good Queen.

Dragon lairs are like, caves with a pile of loot in the middle. While neat, they will not satisfy out nobles appetite for finery things that the peasantry will never be able to afford.

It will involve multi-z stained glass windows, aka gem windows of different colors.

It must have a reception hall, dining hall, guest rooms, royal quarters, and some kind of secret passage or something in addition to a throne room paved in precious metals. All of these things must be multi-z. Also it will be connected to LordBrassroast's massive fortress.

We just hit raw platinum, so I think that's what the throne is going to be made from.

Can it at least have a dragon lair/batcave-type secret lair underneath?

I say that we at some point build a massive coliseum for Onyx gladiators and/or slaves and/or goblin captives to fight forgotten beasts and the like to entertain our populace, with a giant floating sphere suspended above to give the perfect areal view to our nobles.  We can stick the baron's rooms up there if you want or we could put them in the arena with no doors and "accidently" release the beasts.

Coliseums are awesome. Also, a batcave sounds lovely.

Said coliseum will have nobles boxes as well. I will make it an alternate dining area so they will come to view the games on occasion.

Remember to have levers in those boxes to flood those Noble-boxes* with POWs, criminals, and lava love and gifts for the Great Most-Equal Comrades of the Grand Communist Party of Blazecooks.

Hey, Dunamisdeos, the fort's still going, right? It's been 6 days since you've said anything here.
