Chances are they are running a national focus that will give them a CB on something of yours.

I'm confused as to how there is still resistance in my occupied territory. When I hover over it it shows ~0.4 increase, and the -2 increase from the national focus bonus. Yet the total resistance is still increasing. I had more than enough divisions of military police than needed last time I checked, but now it's asking for hundreds of divisions, several times more than it was asking before.

Where is this hidden value that is making my resistance grow?

Ok so I managed to survive as Ethiopia and have gotten back my land and joined the Allies, but now the UK (a democratic nation in the allies) is justifying war on me. How? I don't even have the option to do so to other allies, and being democratic, to justify war on anyone requires them to cause world tension, which I haven't. So I am really scratching my head as to why my democratic ally can justify on me.

Are you sure you didn't cause world tension? Taking territory is a peace deal, even if you were the agressed, cause world tension.

O yes I caused a large amount of world tension (Canada going fascist and taking over America and Mexico). How do i tell how world tension is translated into resistance?

Anyone played the new DLC yet? It seems like it just adds focus trees and whatnot for a few countries, which you can already get through mods. Anything besides that that makes it worth a buy?

I don't even understand how this happens.  The USA gets soooooo many resources in all the HoI games.  Even if they somehow had nothing they should be able to build an entirely new army in the time it takes to occupy them.

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

If it makes you feel better HOI USA is nerfed heavily compared to the Real life. Since the united States did basically mass produce aircraft Carriers as in we started with 7 and end with around 160ish by the end of the war.

Ya, USA's greatest military asset is to literally outproduce basically any other nation.

The 160 aircraft carriers figure, does that include the escort carriers and other sorts that the game fails to model?

Well I attacked America before they got their industry moving. If you've played America you will know they are crippled at the start, unable to use all their factories. So you attack them before they get the ball rolling, and with your fascist economy, every area you take over gives you a large number of factories. Eventually you outproduce America with their own factories.

It's true. Early game USA is reeeeally slow to ramp up. Late game USA is terror incarnate

Paradox recently got into a lot of trouble over unannounced price rises across the board before the steam sale.
Certain countries have had it, certain countries haven't.

All I know is I'm still unsure whether I want to spend £25 on two DLC's to make the game playable. All I can think is "do I really need to play it?"

Despite the Steam sale, there are better deals on Green Man Gaming example. But only marginally (about 20 GBP).

Bundling general game mechanics with nation specific mechanic cosmetics (which people may not play anyway) at such prices is a dirty move. Yes, I'm interested in licensing (if I want to play minor powers), and yes I would like to request lend lease, to be able to play the game fully. Sure, I like the unit graphics, but I don't need nation specific trees or actions, which I may not play in years.

General game mechanics should never be subject to DLCs, they should be offered as general patches. But they want to make money. 25 GBP is a full game price for two essential mechanics features, which likely isn't more than a few hundred lines of code (if that).

Paradox is out on the EA highway. But I'm sure short term share holders are content.
